Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments For the task 4. MC has multiple children, can the book be a non-fiction and can the author be the one with multiple children, that are mentioned in the book. Like an autobiography type thing?

Alyana | 617 comments Hi, for a book featuring multiple letters written (no email!) - would chatting through text work?

message 16: by Melindam (last edited Jan 05, 2025 09:22PM) (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments Alyana wrote: "Hi, for a book featuring multiple letters written (no email!) - would chatting through text work?"

No, as text chatting is almost the same as emails.
Here only the old-fashioned way of letter-writing is accepted.

Gem ~ZeroShelfControl~ (zeroshelfcontrol) | 574 comments Can we start reading for the next set of tasks whilst completing the last book in the last set, if the book for the new set isn’t finished until after the book in the current set is.
Hope makes sense.

message 22: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments I think I see what you mean 🤯 and yes, you can start reading a new book for a new set, just make sure you finish the older set first in any case. 🤭

message 23: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 1392 comments For the task: MPG English or British Literature

Is MPG 'literature' ok if there is also a MPG 'American' listed...they are not listed together

Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger

message 24: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments No, as it has to be specifically English or British literature.

Yes, singular is also fine.

Tammie | 1392 comments Q about task: A book containing illustrations

The Ministry of Time has 1 illustration at the front of the book...a map of the expedition that's likely referenced a few times in the book...I haven't read it yet. It's the only illustration...the plural reference in the task leads me to think more than 1 illustration may be required...is this correct?

Tammie | 1392 comments For the task
A book that has been adapted into a visual medium (movie, tv show, etc.)
The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn
Im reading Whalebone Theatre
In my curiosity about this book I’ve learned it’s to be adapted to t.v.
…ok for this task?

message 42: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments Sorry, Tammie, but I have to say no to this.

Here we need sth that has already been adapted.

Anupama C K(b0rn_2_read) (b0rn_2_read) | 25 comments What does MPG family mean?

message 45: by Melindam (last edited Mar 03, 2025 10:41AM) (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments MPG = main page genre

When you click on a book, the genres that are listed right under are considered MPG.

So if Family appears as genre on the main page of the book.
