An intriguing sequel to Timekeeper wherein we find out more about how/why these clock towers/spirits exist though not quite everything is revealed yet. It's an interesting development though rather dark. I'm feeling doubts for HEA and that's just not ok!
The novel is mostly set in India where Danny was sent to investigate towers falling apart and it is during the time of colonisation (it is Victorian era) with rebels' mutinies and uprisings. It raises quit a few interesting points in relation to human rights and also, the sense of not-belonging when you are born of both nations. Unfortunately, this one ends in a cliffhanger, argh!
