Review - To be honest, I'm not sure how much I like this series yet. Since this was the first book in the series it was ok, The concept of the story line was interesting, but nothing wowed me like I thought it would. The author's writing style was a bit off putting. He made a habit of fat shaming characters. This was done several times. He also pointed out several times that those that live in the hills of Appalachia were "dumb". I'll give it another couple of books before make a decision on whether to dump this series or not.

Only managed one of my books this month. was good but very sad. It was amazing how she survived and how good people risked their lives to help her.

I'm still working on . It's surprisingly difficult to get into, for a du Maurier book.
