Yes, I can absolutely recommend fantasy books. I started with books by Sarah J Mass a couple of years ago and have never looked back 😊 Before that I almost exclusively read crime/thrillers

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a great place to start! Fantasy books are so different, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t like the first one you try. TILOAL is more magical realism, so the world building is easier to understand since it takes place in a world like ours, just with magical elements.

I haven’t read that one but anything SJM or Powerless, oh and Fourth Wing is a good place to start since it’s easy to follow
