Did my re-read tonight...

This one introduces Harmony Black, which we'll be reading in a few months, and really shows the lines Faust and Caitlin have in their relationship and in life... And how gray/black the morals of the series are... Or flexible...

Overall fun jaunt, and just what the doctor ordered as my first book of the night...

I just finished Ch. 6 ... When they introduced Harmony Black, they said she was a full figured blonde. I pictured her blonde, but tall and sporty, not full figured, for some reason... Hmmm...

I felt bad for the lady who died, and I really need them to take care of Loren and her posse! They all need to die horrible deaths!

This was fun! I loved some of the sayings, really brought back the Pulp-Noir feels:))) "It was the type of car that rode the back alleys looking for a knife fight!" Hahaha!

Loved set up and really enjoyed the way they went about it. Waiting to see if anyone else will join us, who hasn't read it before, and see what they thought about it...

I listened to this yesterday, first time reader and I agree this was fun! I still don't get the relationship with the papal series and I am enjoying this series a million times more. I like the characters, Faust and his group of friends and the world they live in is interesting and I am enjoying it quite a lot so far. I do kind of wish we got more Harmony Black here but I guess we will when we get to her dedicated books.

Yes we will!!! I am in the minority that loves Harmony more than Faust. People find her kind of boring, but she reminds me of Scully of the X-Files... I love her!

Good to know but I remember big picture and themes from the papal series so if it is specific characters or things I need to remember I may need reminders of who is who and who did what.

Read this today and enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to seeing Harmony in her own series... The story was fun and twisty, and I liked the (view spoiler)[heist-movie full reveal almost-ending with the Ring... Really sucks for the little cambion that her dad was such an asshole... And I wasn't expecting the priest to be a plant, himself... though I was curious about how Daniel's safehouse was tripped, I thought it was maybe a tracer planted on him, not the dude himself.
