hi! so l want to learn a wind instrument and I am really undecided between the (transverse) flute and the clarinet and I m trying to collect opinions from musicians or just music lovers. i like the sound of both the instruments. i play the piano and i m starting a wind instrument because i want to join to the band. if you understand anything about musical instruments can you tell me which is easiest and some advantages e disadvantages of each one? can you tell me also which one has a easiest fingering position and what easiest to blow?
The clarinet is an easier instrument to play, the hardest part of it is the fingering (which really isn’t that hard), but with the flute you have to be able to blow a certain way, which I’ve heard is pretty hard. I’ve never played the flute but I did play the clarinet in a band. I really liked the clarinet and it was easy to read the sheet music because I also play the piano. But both are great options :)
i think clarinet is the easier option. i played it for two years and was fun you just have to learn all the keys. for flute you have to know how to blow into it and stuff but it depends what you want!
