I saw a clip of this sitcom style show of a young girl being disappointed in someone. The girl said something along the lines of "I always knew people would hate me for being gay. I can't help that but it sucks that you're one of them. Because I'm pretty great." It's lived in my head ever since but I can't find it now. Sorry I don't remember more but if anyone knows what it is, I appreciate youuu

I think it might be One Day at a Time. Sounds like a conversation Elena has with her father. Was an amazing show! So disappointed when it was cancelled, but got 4 seasons on 2 networks. Hope this is it!
