Hi everyone! Let's do a reading wrap-up! What was your favorite fantasy read of October?

Mine was Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider!

Hannah ♡♤♧◇ | 3 comments Hello. For me, I would say it would be the Harry Potter series, or part of it since I'm still finishing it up (On book 4). As goofy as it sounds, I was never one to follow the hype when it came to books or their series. I hadn't seen the movies till recently and with Dame Maggie Smith passing on, I just had to give them a try in her honor truthfully. Since it was also Halloween season, I really enjoyed the books I have read so far.

Dave (dnovakoff) I’m in the middle of the All the Skills series. Decided to try out the LitRPG genre and I’m enjoying it. Currently on book 4 of the series. It’s not my normal style but I’ll probably finish the series, although I don’t know how many books there will be!

Apologies for the off topic, I'm quite new to groups even if I've been goodreads for years. I don't know where is the right place to ask questions to mods or if normal users are allowed to start new topics.

What question do you have? Yes, I created the group with the goal of allowing unrestricted discussions on Fantasy topics. You can freely post content and start conversations. I've created several topics, but if you don't find one that fits, just don’t select from the list, and your post will go to the top general group. Or if you have an idea or suggestion, just message me, and I'll create a topic with the title you provide. :)

Hi Sophie thank you! I just had an idea for a new topic but didn't see rules about it or how to do it so maybe I missed something and I didn't want to go against rules I don't know :) I wanted to create a topic to talk about how wholesome it is when male authors create beautiful and strong female characters, provide some examples and ask if our our male members have some examples of books by female authors that stuck for how the men were portrayed (good or bad). In the past women in books by male authors have been often little more than dolls, while nowadays I see some male authors who create better heroines than other women.

Thanks Sophie! Sorry for the delay, I'm out walking with an audiobook and some group features seem to be limited on the Android app so I don't know if I'm asking silly questions or not :D

Well...the only book I read in October as called Empire: Country...so that...

Its was a strange story that seemed like traditional meandering fantasy and quickly turned into Cthulhu horror.... I was not expecting that.
