Hayden Rader (harader) | 5 comments Hello,

It would be a good add for Goodreads to add "Afternoon in Linen" by Shirley Jackson to the book catalog. This was originally published in the print edition of The New Yorker on September 4, 1943. It's included in a few anthologies by Shirley Jackson published afterwards, but it would be nice to individually rate and review this short story, similarly to Jackson's other short stories on Goodreads.

Thank you!

Emily | 17624 comments Sorry, short stories from The New Yorker or other publications, that are not otherwise a book, aren't valid for inclusion on Goodreads.

Mike Lisanke | 2 comments there are several short stories by Shirley Jackson from her collection The Lottery and other stories.

Hayden Rader (harader) | 5 comments Thanks Mike. Yeah, all of them are on Goodreads other than “Afternoon in Linen” and “My Life with R.H. Macy”. Was hoping to have them added along with the rest of the collection.
