Oooh. I have this one on my shelf, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Will consider bumping it closer to the top of my To Read pile!

Okay, nice! Hank has been on my To Read list for a while since I really like Gennifer Choldenko's stories. Let it Glow is new to me, and it looks like a fun holiday read. Adding it. Thanks!

Some of my favorites were Candidly Cline by Kathryn Ormsbee, about a girl who wants to become a singer-songwriter. I love how Cline related so much in her life to the women of country music & their lyrics. It was cleverly done, especially once she was teamed up with another girl who lives for rock & had her own icons to admire. Wink by Rob Harrell is about a middle school boy who is diagnosed with cancer. There's school & family stuff to cope with ... and chemo on top of it all. And I really enjoyed The Best Man by Richard Peck. It's slice-of-life with a wry sense of humor about a boy who as the world's best student teacher ... and the world's best uncle. The story is bookended by a couple of weddings, and it made me smile often.
How about you?
