(This is the 1970 Rigby edition, ISBN 0851791034, as reprinted in 1973)

Martin | 36038 comments Unless you have an acceptable source for 1970 edition cover you should request a further edition for 1973, you can do this at 'adding new books & editions'

RM | 765 comments Same ISBN and cover for both: the 1973 reprint is not a new edition. 1970 edition cover here: https://www.austlit.edu.au/austlit/pa...

Martin | 36038 comments That is not a source we can use, sorry

RM | 765 comments I'm confused. The Goodreads guidelines suggest that reprints with the same cover and the same ISBN are not new editions, and should not be added as new editions on Goodreads. Austlit is a national literature database maintained by the University of Queensland: its information has been verified. I'm not suggesting that Goodreads takes the cover image from Austlit; I've supplied the cover image of the 1973 reprint, which (as the Austlit entry confirms) is the same cover as the 1970 edition: my 1973 reprint cover should in my view be applied to the 1970 edition on Goodreads.

Martin | 36038 comments We can only use certain sources for covers and data, see https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...
If you can provide a cover source for 1970 edition that is acceptable we can add the cover

message 7: by RM (new) - rated it 4 stars

RM | 765 comments Goodness gracious. It's the same as the 1973 cover, because the 1973 reprint retained the same cover.

message 8: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36038 comments If you can provide a correct and acceptable source for 1970 edition I can add the cover.

message 9: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36038 comments I took a look myself and a simple Google search provided an acceptable source for 1970 edition
https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/Bo...
I added cover from there.

RM | 765 comments Thank you: I'd assumed that as AbeBooks is a bookseller site (and occasionally has incorrect covers simply sourced from other places on the web) it would be an unacceptable source. Information on Austlit is verified and much more reliable. But there you go!

message 11: by Martin (new)

Martin | 36038 comments We can only use sources that site staff deem as acceptable.
Please see https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...

The wrong images on AbeBooks are usually the stock images drawn from Amazon, bookseller images there are more reliable
