The notification system seems to be not working except when the mods send out a message. You are not alone in having this problem. It is annoying!

Valerie, try completely signing out of Goodreads, then sign back in. Your profile says you were last active in October 2024. The sign out/sign in process should force a reset and, in the past, that was enough to fix the notifications breakdown. I don't know if it fixes the current issue, though.

The first and second time I tried, it did not worked. But Saturday I signed out for 12 hours and surprise! I started to receive notification on Sunday and it's now working.
