ISBN showing up invalid

I am trying to add the following book set but the ISBN for it is showing up invalid. Can you help me understand why?

Isbns have either 10 or 13 digits.

I had the same problem today when registering an older Brazilian edition of "The Seventh Scroll" by Wilbur Smith.

In the case of Brazil, the agency responsible for ISBN registration changed from the National Library Foundation to the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL in the Brazilian acronym) in March 2020.
I believe that something must have been lost in the mechanism that investigates this registration (I think Goodreads uses an automatic search engine to identify the ISBN registration directly at the source). So when there is a change in the national agency responsible for the ISBN, some information necessary for the registration recognition may be lost.

What I did was search in other sources for the ISBN that the application identifies as the correct one. Then I included in the librarian's comment (at the end of the book registration) what was stated in the book.

Most common thing is people mistakeing ISBN with other identifiers.
There is no need for GR or any other platform to check if ISBN is valid in any source. The ISBN itself contains the info for that (checksum).
