Looking for something scary

I am wanting to find a good clean thriller. I don’t want can’t sleep because of nightmares scary. I have read almost all of Frank Peretti’s books. I am a bit apprehensive about anything Ted Dekker because I have heard he leans more towards the darker side. It doesn’t necessarily need to be Christian but I don’t want any profanity or sex. I like cozy mysteries but wanted something more exciting. Any suggestions?
