Josie is actively investigating Isabelle’s disappearance and Dirk Spencer’s odd role in the Escalade shooting, despite being suspended. Did it feel wrong, more like she was filling a gap or a bit of both?

Josie is a very tenacious cop. She didn't like being sidelined and felt things were just off about both Isabelle's disappearance and Spencer's shooting.

It felt like she just couldn't let it go - even though she knew she should've. She definitely feels like she is the only one that can run an investigation - at least that is the feeling I got.
