Bur Davis | 48 comments Is there a "Site Feedback" or "Goodreads Functionality" group?

I posted a comment back on 2017 which I was asked to repost to the "Feedback Group", and given a URL of https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... for that group. When I follow that link, however, I am redirected to https://help.goodreads.com/s/, where I can't figure out where I should post.

There are several typos in the "About MJ Carter" section at https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

- "Her second book, The Three Emperors..." [the book title should be italicized, per usage and for consistency with the first book title mentioned in the section]
- "In 2014 her first thriller, The Strangler Vine,..." [the book title should be italicized, per usage and for consistency with the first book title mentioned in the section]
- "set in the first years f Queen Victoria's reign, ..." ['of', not 'f']
- "The second in the series, The Infidel Stain,..." [the book title should be italicized, per usage and for consistency with the first book title mentioned in the section]
- "... is due for publication in January 2015." [should be "was published in April 2015."

I am assuming these typos also appear on the pages for MJ Carter's other books (to the extent the author's bio is a shared content resource).

What is the process for correcting these errors?

[from lethe] M.J. Carter is a Goodreads Author and as such responsible for her own author page. Librarians cannot edit Goodreads author pages.

[my reply]
Thanks. When I visited her author page and clicked the 'edit data' link next to the bio, I am told: "Sorry, this author is on Goodreads and is responsible for editing their own data. If you see a typo or other error, then you may want to report it in the Goodreads Librarians Group."

a) Not surprised that I am not able to edit her data.
b) ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: Don't even expose the 'edit data' link to anyone but the person who has permissions to edit the data.
c) BUG: That error message should not direct me to report the typo on the Goodreads Librarians Group. I did so and user lethe told me that the author herself was responsible for editing. Instead, the error message should tell me how to send a message to the author so she can correct her own bio.
