Series default image

Is there a way to make a particular edition the default in a series?
Example.
A book (#1 in series) is published with title ABC & cover 1.
The book is then re-titled to DEF with cover 2. ACE created
Then a new cover is released, cover 3, ACE created.

But the series still shows book #1 with title ABC & cover 1.
Is there a way to make cover 3 the default in the series view?

The series image for the book is the default edition's image, so there's no way for us to change that.
