Len | 51 comments This will probably mean little to anyone outside a small area in the UK. Now I am in my mid-70s and bursting with nostalgia, I would really like to revisit Gronant and Prestatyn in North Wales.

As a child I spent so many summer holidays there in a caravan park with my mum, dad and brother. The toilet block was like something out of a prisoner of war camp and it rained more often than not, but when you're young the facilities are someone else's problem and even splashing in the wet is fun.

message 14: by Pisces51 (new)

Pisces51 I have no desire to travel anywhere. I think Australia is beautiful, but I can enjoy it vicariously. And there is always Wolf Creek to worry about if I actually traveled there.

Brian | 186 comments Drove to Alaska a few months ago from Michigan, so l'd like to pick up where l left off in Montana (before heading home) and finish driving from there to Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego Province, Argentina. From Argentina, ship vehicle to Africa, travel the eastern route north from South Africa to northern Europe, fly to Iceland for a looksee and back, and then continue east to Asia...and then ship to Seattle, drive home...and then...someone can stick a folk in me...

Edit: forgot to say "why". No reason, just beats the heck out of sitting on the couch watching brain deadening football...lol.

Erica Robbin (ericarobbin) | 82 comments New Zealand. Mostly to eat cheese, ride the train, see the sheep, a Hobbit house, and go rappelling into the deep caverns amongst these gorgeous green vines.

Babylonstoren. Explore all the gardens and drink wine from grapes grown in the local vineyards.

Cotswolds. Because I read about the place in the Agatha Raisin stories and really want to see the characteristic housing, scenery, and gardens. Then enjoy a retreat at Daylesford and be pampered.

message 24: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessacumberlandcountypa) What a fun question and I loved reading all of the answers! For me, I've always wanted to travel to Rapa Nui to see the Moai after reading an article about them in 1988. Recently, I've thought about travel to Jeju Island (due to Lisa See's The Island of Sea Women) and to Japan, specifically Shizuoka and Fukuoka prefectures (due to YouTubers).
