To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be marked as read by one of the RRRC moderators. There is no date requirement for this task, but the selected book must be marked as read and rated. Series rule applies. Please include a link to the moderator's review or read shelf in your completion posts. To make your searching easier - Fran, Jane, Karen and I all read MM Romance, but Jane reads MM exclusively. Fran, Karen and I read both MF and MM.
Fran's profile is private, but I'm sure she will accept any friend requests. 😊
Also, consider this assigned on 10/26 - so you would be eligible for another task on the 28th.

I asked this in the challenge Q and A thread, but asking here in case any of you knows already — what is the “series rule” that is mentioned in our task? I looked at all of the group threads that seemed like they would explain but I didn’t see it anywhere.
T, series rule is where you can read another book in a series when dealing with lists or someone’s shelves. Opens things so if you find book one on the shelf/list but you are actually on book 2, you can read your book 2. And vice versa, if the book found is further along than you are in the series, you can read the book that’s up next for you. Make sense?

I started an In Death book yesterday before we got this task, but I have a couple more I got from the library for Turf Wars. So I'll do one of those. Jane has read a few in the series. And looks like MKat has read most of the series.
I have almost too many options, but my Gift Exchange book (assuming we keep the task) is on Fran's shelf, so I'll probably go with that.

Contemporary and Romance do not have to be combined and may be combined with other words, MM Romance for example, but BOTH must be MPG (Main Page Genre)! Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count.
I marked Twice in a Blue Moon as currently reading the other day, but I haven't actually started it yet as other things/challenges came up. I'll fix the start date on that one and move it up. 368 pages.

I will change it but I will also say that edition is most likely mismarked as a Kindle edition. That cover doesn't even exist on US Amazon. Can't find it elsewhere on the internet to know what to change it to, so I'll just leave it alone.
Edit: Stephanie Perkins' website shows it as a UK paperback. But the publisher has a different cover and no publish date (which is odd). So weird how book editions can virtually disappear.
Laura I really like that book!I have a couple books planned that will work for this.
Stupid challenges... all the books I need to read for them are historical or paranormal... not contemporary. I'm going to go with This Beautiful Thing, 182 pp. It has a good page count for TW and with T's big book, we'll go over the 1000 pp requirement quite easily.

I’m probably the odd woman out with my tastes, and I’m not really tied to any specific books for challenges (I’m almost done with the books I need to finish this week) so I’ll just aim for what the majority wants. That being said, I’ve got JD Robb and Karin Slaughter books ready to go, if anyone is into them.
Oh, I was inspired by Berit’s candy land book so I looked at my library offerings and found this by that author The Christmas Wager, if anyone is interested.
Now, let’s see what Berit has in mind!
Jen DeLuca has a new one out that came out this year, which would have fit the last TW listopia, of course. So I could go for that.
T, if we go with DeLuca, we can get you copies. If Michelle doesn't have them, then I can certainly send them to you in email. Same with Lucy Score, well, at least the first couple in the Riley Thorn or Knockemout series. I have one stand alone from her I loved Mr. Fixer Upper

And yeah, I thought about Michelle after my rambling 🤣Edit: wow my libraries are anti-Lucy Score. I’ve seen her books all over the internet and book store so fully expected tons of books with wait lists. There were two books and one was in Dutch! And I’ve got about 12 digital library cards…
Edit two: Lucy books are on KU! My free trial doesn’t expire until December 😁
