I really did not want that to end. Just a tease.
I haven't turned off my computer since I got it back up. I had to finish and post before crossing my fingers and closing the lid on the laptop for the first time.
Okay, I guess I'll find out in the morning if it was a one time thing, or if I'm gonna go crazy while it gets fixed.
Am going to visit a couple of friends for 2 nights, so won't have my computer. I'm just going to set up my completion post now so I don't have to do it all on my phone. Should have time to get the book read.

OMG… what a nonstop rollercoaster ride twists, turns and action. It is coming to a climatic finale. I was almost in tears with this quasi-cliff hanger needing to know what happens next. I am so sad this series is ending soon. I love all the characters of the SOS Hotel.

Review: I love the concept of a safe haven for Supernaturals, the pacing was just a little too fast for me. It was funny that all the way through I was thinking Zee is my favourite character, then at the end it through me for a loop and Zee is the actual love interest? Then what about the vampire? Is this going to turn into MMM? I don't know but I need to find out.

I haven’t read any Robin Knight either, I checked Skye & JessicaReading Under the Arabian Sky, 170 pgs and KU

The writing was so beautiful. The author had me at the beginning with Arthur’s grief, “It never occurred to me…that loving someone forever, and being together forever were not the same thing.”
Arthur is forced from hiding in Oxford to the sands of Oman. There he meets Tariq, and learns to love again. Seeing the desert through their eyes was amazing. “… a moving sculpture… Constantly shifting shapes. Constantly evolving.” Overall, I loved it.

Review: I love the layers in this. The romance was great but the thing that really tore my heart up was the sister's storyline. I felt so sorry for her but loved how supportive Mitch was with the hoarding and giving her a purpose. The information that was revealed at the end also tore me up. These poor boys should never have split in the first place but that's what bad parenting does. Doesn't have re-readability so not giving it 5 stars but great writing, great story, great characters.

Task 27 - 121. Pick another team in this challenge and each member reads two books read by members of that team in the last 6 months and rated a minimum of 4 stars. No pass for this task.
As a team, select another team in this challenge. Then each teammate reads two books read by a member of the selected team on or after June 3, 2024 and rated a minimum of 4 stars. Please include a link to the selected team member’s review (preferred) or read shelf in your completion posts. Also include the selected team in your completion posts. No pass for this task.
She does specify in the rules that no task will be assigned more than once -- I'm going to ask her about it
Here is your real new task!Task 27 - 120. Read 8 books in series that have names that are 3 words long.
Books selected for this task need to be in series that have names that are three words long. Articles are counted in the word total, ampersands count as one word. Hyphenated words count as one word. Series such as ‘Ice Planet Barbarians’, ‘MacKenzies & McBrides’, ‘Tales From Verania’ or ‘Cut & Run’ would work for this task. Please include the series name in your completion posts.
Think I will pick one from The Last Picks (Gregory Ashe) and Moon Murder Mysteries (K. Sterling)Secrets and Scrabble by Josh Lanyon
Vino & Veritas (Multi author)
Outfoxing the Paranormal (Jordan L Hawk)
Jak & Leander (Devin Harnois)
Those would all work too.
I found one I could start today. Ghost of TruthI'll get to be a little more choosy with my 2nd book.
I'm getting off work late today, and didn't want to have to wait to choose my 1st book.

That is NOT a 3 word series.
…series that have names that are 3 words long
So team that wins will be the Team who reads the most books from when the task is posted on Friday, to the end of the Challenge Sunday. As it is books and not pages, I would go through your shelves looking for books over 150 pages and under 200 and we'll hope some of them can be used. It might be a good idea to creat a single post with all short book options we can find.
OkayI'm brain dead from work...so posting my choices so I don't mess up again.
Either
Psychic Detective Mysteries
Shadow's Edge
I might go to book 2 for the 2nd or go to
Paranormal Council Enforcers

Rereading this series from the beginning, I’d forgotten how much I hated the mean-spirited reporter, Sue Lewis. But other than her, I enjoyed the intro of everyone in Pirates Cove. And I especially loved the budding relationship between Ellery and Jack.

I had to go back and look at MountainKat's post, because I thought the only books that counted to the book total would be the ones we read for the last category, but it is actually a total of all we have read for the entire challenge plus what we read on the weekend. I have to assume we will be one of the finalists in the race, so we will be able to post as many books as possible for the last category, as long as we each post at least one. Dammit, putting up my tree this weekend, and have a party to go to Saturday night.

Hah! You thought Cabot Cove was full of murders… Try living on Buck Island’s village of Pirate Cove! I still enjoy reading this cozy series, and I have to laugh how often Ellery gets sucked into each murder…whether it’s a cold case or new one.

Dang, I’m so confused. I’m just going to wing it. I have an out of town luncheon that day. But I’ll be the only person in the car, so I can play an audiobook for once.

Within the Mind by Alice WintersPages: 318 GR

Review: This should have MPG horror. The scenes where Chevy is trapped within the mental plane had me feeling second-hand panic. The sexual tension and banter between Chevy and Seneca was on point and something I'm coming to expect from a Winters book. The mystery had me gripped and Joel Lesley did an excellent job narrating.
