SOS Hotel #3

SOS Hotel: Sleep With Us

Rate this book
The third book in the SOS Hotel series...

Three weeks in, and the SOS Hotel is still standing. I know, crazy right? Despite the gremlins, lethal electrics, shadowbeast in the attic, vampire threats, and psycho sorcerer, our doors remain open to all Lost Ones. Also, nobody has died… in a few days.

All I have to do is hold it all together, keep every guest safe, not mention the body in the flowerbeds, and maybe we’ll last another week?
But Sebastien has demanded Zee return to the club, or he’ll hurt more demons.

Sebastien has become a big problem. And problems, like gremlins, have a habit of multiplying at the SOS Hotel.

I promised Zee I’d stay out of his other life. But I can’t—won’t watch Sebastien mistreat him.

I might be a boring, average, harmless human, but even I have my limits.

Plus, I’ve got a vampire on my side. Lord Reynard has a knack for getting answers out of people… Together, we’re going to find a way to break Sebastien’s hold over Zee, even if part of our plan involves an evening of la mort d’amour at Razorsedge. Reynard says we’re not going to do anything risky. But I kind of, maybe, just a little bit… want to?

Trust me. I’m Adam Vex. Totally normal human. It’s all going to turn out just fine.

I’m absolutely certain I have everything under control.

Probably.

Welcome to the SOS Hotel.

SOS Hotel is a whacky adventure about a vampire lord, an ex-porn-star demon, and a boring human who absolutely does not have any secrets. 18+ only. You'll find dark humor, explicit language and sex throughout the books.

If you don't like the f-word, sex, some minor murders, or a few questionable pies thrown in, do not read these books.

There will be triggering content for some, including sexual coercion.
Proceed with caution.

Have a GREAT stay!

I genuinely enjoy this series, and the plots in each installment consistently improve. However, I found that this particular book didn't hold my interest as much because Zee just doesn't resonate with me. While I appreciate his character, I don't find him compelling enough. He feels somewhat flat, and I struggled to connect with him—believe me, I gave it my best shot. As the focus shifted heavily to him, I found myself frustrated at times. That said, he does win me over a bit by the end of each book, so I'm open to the possibility of him growing on me more.

In stark contrast, Adam is a standout character that I absolutely adore. I am eager to delve deeper into his backstory, and the scene with the pets really moved me—there's no denying that. Victor is another character who’s captured my interest, and I appreciate his mysterious yet straightforward nature; it adds an intriguing layer to the story.

The developing relationships in this installment are both frustrating and enjoyable. First, we have Zee and Adam, who are still stuck in a friends-with-benefits arrangement. While they occasionally express their love for each other, the forbidden love trope they embody just doesn't resonate with me.
They definitely have their sweet moments, and it's clear that Zee adores Adam while Adam cares deeply for Zee.

In stark contrast, Victor and Adam have a fantastic dynamic that really stands out. It's amusing to watch Adam completely captivated by Victor; his infatuation is both funny and endearing. Victor's genuine care and concern for Adam are incredibly sweet, and I’m eagerly anticipating when these two finally become official.

As for Zee and Victor, their relationship has improved dramatically in this book. They've developed a much deeper respect and care for each other, and their banter is genuinely entertaining. The chemistry between them is far more compelling than in the previous installments.

I’m looking forward to seeing all three characters overcome their personal challenges and solidify their relationship.

The beginning of this book started off a bit slow, but once the pace quickened, it transformed into a thrilling read.

In conclusion, despite my issues with Zee, I enjoyed this book significantly more than the second one and am excited to dive into the next installment in the series.

I absolutely loved the ending of this book. I’ll have to see if another ending can top this one 😂. Every book so far seems to have its own center issue while the bigger plot unfolds in the background and I’m really liking that kind of style. Adam also seems to acquire more enemies each book. Zodiac and Reynard are continuing to warm up to each other and I’m here for it!! Their mixed emotions and denial are pretty entertaining to read about ngl. There are still secrets floating around, yet to be revealed and antagonists that are bound to return and I’m so freaking excited!! I cannot get enough of this series, each of these characters are capturing a piece of my heart I swear.

Cherise wasn’t going to be found.
Because she was flower food.

If the second book of the series focused more on Reynard and the life he was running from, this one was all about Zee and his dark, sad past. Sebastian is blackmailing Zee and forcing him to go back to Razorsedge, and every time Zee goes to Sebastian, Adam is afraid that it will be the last time he sees him at the hotel. That, one day, Zee will not come back because he will sacrifice himself to keep his demon friends safe from Sebastian.

Zee showed us in the second book that he was a force to be reckoned with, but while he will fight like no other to save Adam and his friends (and even Reynard), he will not fight for himself when it comes to Sebastian, because he is afraid that Sebastian will hurt someone else if Zee is not there to play the punching bag/sex slave role, and it broke my heart to see him acting so defeated about it.

“That’s for choking Adam,” Reynard snarled, leaning on his knee, making Sebastien gurgle. “For ruining my cabinet, and for mistreating Zodiac, whom I have recently begun to experience a complicated array of emotions for.

As in the two previous books, the pace is fast, the plot is full of action and funny conversations with no filter, and it’s easy to devour this book in a sitting. It feels like reading what would be a great weekly series on TV. Every book happens over a few days and during a different week. Book 1 happened during the first week of the hotel being opened, the second book during the second week, and this one during the third. It makes it easy to jump back into the story from the very first page.

Who or what Adam is remains a mystery in this book, but I feel that he was less of a tease about it. It drove me crazy in the previous book to see him kick asses and have all those hints about him being a super powerful Lost One, but not getting a clear answer. We still don’t have an answer in this third book, but there is less emphasis on his weird powers so it was not as frustrating. Reynard and Zee obviously suspect that he is not 100% human as he likes to claim, but they haven’t questioned him about it yet… I feel that it is coming though, and I can’t wait for this conversation.

“Forget it. I’m just hungry. I haven’t eaten in like, forever. Wanna get wasted and fuck?”
“An admirable solution to almost all problems, I find,” Tom Collins piped up before I could attempt an answer.

Adam and Zee are still not admitting to loving each other, they just care about each other and are willing to have sex whenever. But that’s it. Nothing more.
It is obvious to everyone that those two love each other and would go to the end of the Earth to keep the other safe, but I like that instead of pretending that there is nothing between them, they allow themselves to have cute and cuddly moments together, they just never take the time to sit down and talk about what exactly this thing between them is. It creates some anticipation because I want them to admit their feelings, but no useless pining or pointless sexual tension (the sexual tension is reserved for our resident Daddy Vampire anyway).

The internet had been right. Hashtag Reyzee, and hashtag enemies-to-lovers was a thing. Had Reynard read the same fanfic as Zee?

Zee dropped his gaze and glared through his lashes. “Do I look like a dumb fuck?”
“Would you like me to answer that?” Reynard asked, straight-faced.
“You, vampire, can fuck all the way off, back to Vampire murder Mansion.” Zee showed him his middle finger. “Oh look, I have all ten fingers and this is one of them.”

There is still no MMM relationship (yet), but Reynard and Zee are warming up to each other. They both admitted in more or less words that they cared a teensy tiny bit about the other, and our dear Tom Collins confirmed that they both spent a lot of time watching each other lately. I love their game of push-and-pull and how it’s obvious that they have the hots for each other, but continue to pretend that they hate each other. The part where Zee says that he is conflicted because he read Reyzee fanfictions and it was hot so he was feeling weird conflicted emotions about Reynards only because of the fanfictions really made me laugh.

There is also some sexual tension between Adam and Reynard, and I am dying for these two to act on it because it will be HOT when it finally happens. 🥵🥵

If I could leave this bar, shove that shotgun down Sebastien’s throat and blow his balls off, I would have.” He smiled. “Enjoy your drinks.” Tom left to serve another customer, whistling a jolly tune as he worked.
I blinked after him as his words settled in my mind, their meaning becoming clearer as the seconds ticked on. I was fairly certain I’d bought a murderbot. Maybe there had been a mix-up up at the AI bartender factory?
“I think we have our answer,” Reynard remarked, taking a sip of his potent drink.
“As to whether Tom Collins is glitchy?”
“About what to do regarding Sebastien.”

The MVP in interpersonal relationships award goes to Tom Collins. He is hilarious as always, but he also surprised everyone with his insight and depth in this book. There are also hints that he might be glitchy, or at least not operating as he should be, and I am curious to see where this sub plotline will lead, especially since the next book will be focusing more on Tom.

There was some of the classic Nash angst mixed in this funny quick read, and I am impressed at how well she managed to combine both aspects to create this story that is serious and dark at times, yet full of silly situations and characters. The banter does not feel forced, it flows and is hilarious, and the characters are just messy and full of emotions, and so real, you can’t help but love them.

These books are so ridiculous but so fun. I really enjoyed the plot of this one! (Although yikes, labrador pie....)

Whilst having to rescue Zee from what essentially amounted to enslavery to his pimp was kind of a heavy topic at times, seeing how important it was to Adam that Zee be able to engage in free choice as to how he spends his life really continues to flesh out the characterisation of their dynamic. Honestly I kind of loved that these two had a few angsty moments cause their reunion and declarations of devotion are always delicious. Also fuck Sebastian. What a piece of shit.

I must admit that the emotional connect between Adam and Zee continues to be my favourite. It's kind of hard when Victors relationship with Zee and Adam is still in its infancy and doesn't have the same history and emotional resonance as Zee and Adam do. I can see the potential there though and honestly prefer a slow build, considering Victor and Zee were literally 'kill on sight' in book one, rushing their connection would feel disingenuous.

Michael Lesley has continued grow on me as a narrator and now I feel like the humour and character tone of voice just wouldn't be the same reading it and it's become one of those series that I think is absolutely best consumed by listening to it.

Although that being said the audiobooks are so easy to consume that I feel like I'm reading them faster than I can review them 🤣🤣

(I was trying so hard not to guess Adams secret and I totally accidentally had the penny drop and I am so annoyed at myself 🤣)

Oooooh, that was so good. The three of them are getting closer sooooo damn slowly, and talking isn't their strong suit, but everything else is just amazing.
And another freaking thrilling finale.

Zodiac’s Fabulous Dimensions:
Horns: 12 inches
Wings: Fucking Big. The biggest
Tail: 60 inches
Dick: Babycakes, buy me dinner first
🤭

“Come here, Kitten.” Zee scooped me into his arms and spooned close, wrapping me in seven feet of demon, plus wings and tail. I sighed, cocooned in firm, muscular warmth. 🫠🫠🫠

“Please don’t poison any guests while I’m gone.”
Tom smiled, but it was the kind of shallow smile that meant he’d be up to mischief as soon as I turned my back. “You can trust me to serve everyone the drinks they deserve.”
“That’s the problem.”
Tom lowered his voice, and said with the same smile, “Make that son of a bitch hurt.”
🖤🤩🖤

Wait, I mean . . . vengeance is bad. An eye for an eye leaves two people blind. Or something. 🖤🖤🖤

Reynard stood on his neck, choking off the noise.
Sebastien stopped thrashing.
“That’s for choking Adam,” Reynard snarled, leaning on his knee, making Sebastien gurgle. “For ruining my cabinet, and for mistreating Zodiac, whom I have recently begun to experience a complicated array of emotions for. I suggest, demon, during what happens next, you shouldn’t fight. It will be over more quickly that way.”

I'm far too far into book four to slow down and write a lot here, but I do know that if Zee and Victor don't get some of their sexual tension cleared soon, I'm going to scream, and the hotel is going to catch fire 🔥

Also, I really wish with all the talk of Zee/Victor fics floating around online that Adam would search them up a read a snippet or two because I am a simple woman, and I want simple things. Tell me what the fans are saying, I beg you please 😂

After reading the first books with 4 stars, here’s my first 5 stars rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What changed, you ask? Mainly that the one character I loathed most got his comeuppance. You read that right. Sebastien, the demon/pimp who (literally) had Zee on a tight leash, got what he deserved.

So yeah, you guessed it: we still have numerous side plots that aren’t resolved - the sorcerer is still out there, lurking. The vampires are still upset, even though they can’t prove Adam killed their duke. And the racist cop still tries to pin all the mysterious murders on Zee (murders that the completely harmless human Adam did absolutely NOT commit himself). Oh and the fae entered the scene, too, and I don’t think they’ll play nice in the future.

But the one that irked me most, Sebastien, who “owns” our beautiful, quirky, dangerous and playful Zee, got what he deserved.

On top of that, the mm is progressing to mmm and I’m all here for it ❤️

And now, Adam, you completely boring and 100% human ray of sunshine (because I won’t dare to ask if there’s more to you, knowing that it will kill me to know your secret), please hurry up and tell Michael Lesley to hurry up with the audio 🥰 I need to listen to the next installment asap.

Things are heating up at the SOS Hotel.

This installment has us learning more about Zee's past and his contract with Sebastien. Adam and Reynard are on a mission to free Zee from Sebastien's grubby hands.

We get some steamy scenes between Zee and Adam and some more from Reynard and Adam. Not to mention that Zee and Reynard seem to be softening up to one another.

I am still impatiently waiting on some MMM action and, as ever, Tom Collins remains my fave.

I received an ARC of this from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion.

This just gets weirder and weirder and better and better?! I could read about these guys forever. But also: these books are such a teeeease regarding the MMM and Adam’s identity. Hopefully we’ll get what we’ve all been waiting for (especially a certain naked vampire Daddy, I’m just telling it as it is) in the next one, because I NEED TO KNOW!

I have never done so much housework before in my life. Who would have known all I needed was a banging audio about a lust demon, a sultry Vampire Daddy and a mysterious ‘human’. This has just been so FUN! yet I’m also deeply invested in all their inner feelings and lives as well. Don’t have much to say as I’m already almost finished book 4 so needed to get something out - if you haven’t started this series do so now! Michael Lesley has done an amazing job bringing these characters to life 🙌🏼

Oh Adam, keeping secrets to try to protect his friends, and himself…

“Hm . . . Yes. But also, sometimes, lies are good too.”

"A tiny, strained moan gurgled up my throat, and all Zee’s words came flying back to me about how Reynard had hangups, but once he got over them, he’d take me. I wanted that. Wanted him. Wanted to lick him all over, then have him tell me what to do and how to do it."

Ariana Nash continues the craziness in book 3 of her SOS Hotel series. Adam's troubles continue in SOS Hotel: Sleep With Us. Firstly, there's the body in the flower beds (don't ask). Zee's being so badly treated by his ex-boss Sebastien that Adam (who's 100% completely and totally human of course) may well self-combust and completely flatten Razorsedge, whilst Reynard's remaining pale and stoic and unsufferably irresistable, so much so that even Zee is tempted, oh and the Demon General Copernicus is putting something unthinkable in his pies.

And don't get me started on the hilariously murdery AI bartender Tom Collins, who most definitely isn't functioning as he should.

SOS Hotel: Sleep With Us is still MM on the romance front and whilst Adam has fallen for both his paranormal business partners, he's currently just scratching that itch with Zee. But you can feel the MMM looming once the vamp and demon sort out their issues - and who doesn't adore an enemies to lovers show-down?!

To be continued in book 4 - SOS Hotel: Great Service from Top to Bottom

Loving it!

Shit just keeps getting weirder and weirder. I'm totally loving this series' entire vibe. Zee is fabulous. Reynard is softening a bit. Like maybe an inch. But it's progress. Still no MMM, but there was a fair bit of steam. Adam is the farthest thing from a boring human you could get, and unfortunately for him, certain people are starting to notice.

Tom Collins shines in all of his scenes. Where did he get the bow tie? I'm super curious now. He's very insightful, while also being a complete asshole. It's a delicate balance, but somehow he makes it work.

Adam is feeling the pressure of hiding who/what he is. I'm getting worried. Worried, he's going to pull a runner. Then again, I don't think Zodiac and Reynard would just let him go. They'd find a way to get him back. I can't wait for the next book! I hope things start moving in the direction we've been teased with soon.

I know you’re probably sick and tired of me going on about how much I love this series, but I really do love this series so suck it up and read the damn books!!

Zee got everything he deserved in this one and I could not be happier for the sweet little 7ft horned sex demon who literally deserves the world🫶🏻 he’s living his best life and I’m here for it.

Adam, as expected causes all sorts of trouble in this one but it’s all for love so it’s totally allowed! Especially the part with the pies because I mean come on, what did you expect the poor boy to do?? I’m excited for what’s to come for him but also completely terrified.

Vamp daddy was adorable, being forced to spill all his feelings and powering through even though he hated every second of it! I hope he gets some extra loving in the next one, he definitely deserves it after spending so long on that damn cabinet😆

4.5⭐️ I love that the author writes joke comments in all of the credits/front matter. The banter between Reynard and Zee is so funny. This series is such a clever and fun idea—writing as Adam, the main character of the book. And she even made Zee a Goodreads account so he could troll Adam and Reynard in the reviews. 😂

The freaking slow burn (or well, I’m honestly not quite sure how to qualify this romance but anyway) is killing me.

At least we get some action.

And at least the plot is well and truly interesting — I don’t actually need the romance all that much (I’m lying, of course, I need it).

So this is a rant. I just finished this one and I'm not only angry but .... disappointed. This contains spoilers sooo...

And then when everything is said and done Zee just takes off the chain himself no problem. I just can't even. Currently I am really so of two minds. I want to know who and what Adam is and am contemplating skipping to the very end, but at the same time I just want to trash the whole series because at the moment I don't even care to see the three of them come together. Right now I'm thinking that the reveal of who and what Adam is and his purpose will make me even more angry that the whole thing was just dramatic and little else and thinking back has let people abuse a person he proclaims to care for just for funs and giggles.

Why is nobody else mad about this? Why is nobody else seeing this? I'm not even sure if the 2* is low enough.
Seeing and reading all the other high ratings I'm questioning if we read the same book. I feel like I should read it again to see if I am mistaken but in the end I'd simply put rather not.

*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

"He raised a sword in my time of need. The least I can do is help him spread his wings.”

The adventures in this installment in the SOS Hotel series were exactly what I needed and wanted! I opened the book planning to just read a few pages in to get the feel for it, and ended up in a deep dive ending with - and I loved every little minute of it!

Don't let Ariana Nash fool you, readers: we got some of her classic angst mixed in with the zany fun and it was such a delightful combination! My feels were all over the place. The spice was on in this third installment too and I was sooooo here for it!

"Why does he insist on calling me Daddy when we are clearly not related?”
“Oh, uh, I have no idea.”

Adam is still in kind of a middle-man spot between our favorite demon and vamp, but the way their interactions are going I think we'll soon see a more equal dynamic between the trio! I love that .

Tom Collins raised his hands. “What do I know? I’m just an AI, with no emotional depth or ability to experience feelings.” He picked up a random glass and wiped it down. “See? Sticking to my script, and doing my fucking job.”

Okay. Okay. I feel like I haven't given enough attention to Tom Collins yet. What is UP with this AI bartender? I both love him and am a little scared of him. That might be because he is giving me Westworld vibes.... as long as he stays on Team Hotel we're all good! Keep serving those Long Walk off a Short Pier's to our enemies.

Zee flung a hand at me. “Adam is human, and he doesn’t know Gareth’s name. Maybe these humans should get their names straight?”
“I am definitely human,” I agreed.
A moment of tense silence fell over the three of us, until Reynard cleared his throat.

Zee and Reynard haven't really but I am so eagerly awaiting this conversation. They are definitely noticing/calling him out on his 'moments' more now though! I think we're going to see a book soon where poor Adam's carefully kept secrets take a good solid crumble; but he'll hopefully have a lust demon and vampire daddy there to pick him up after the dust settles <3

After this, I had to go back to hiding. I couldn’t get involved in any more lost causes.

Umm, book 4, whaaaat? Nice try, Adam. SOS Hotel: Great Service from Top to Bottom will be an eager release for me!

Lastly: Pro tip! If you aren't reading every single detail in this book from start to finish... including pages like the copyright and authors notes... do it. Just do it. Thank me later.

I swear this series just keeps getting better and better! I could read about Adam, Zee, Reynard, Tom Collins and their gremlin-infested hotel alllll day and never get bored 💕

In this latest instalment of the SOS Hotel series, Adam is furious when Zee disappears again to Razorsedge, the demon sexy club where his ‘owner’ Sebastian is treating him horribly. Adam, being a 100% totally normal human, knows that he needs to help his best friend (with benefits) and enlists sexy vampire daddy (and long-term hotel guest) Reynard to help him. Also, turns out that Reynard, as well as lusting after Adam, is having some pretty complicated feelings about Zee too 👀 Reynard and Adam set about to work out how to void Zee’s contract so the threesome (hopefully) can get back to focussing on running the SOS Hotel 💕

Read SOS Hotel 3 (Sleep in with us) for:
✨ 100% normal human displaying more and more non-human signs
✨ Vampire daddy having 💕feelings💕 for sassy sexy demon
✨ Where is Tom Collins getting all his c0caine? (And would you like some?)
✨ Find out many supernaturals it takes to put together an Ikea cabinet
✨ Fun with measuring tools

Thank you so much to the author and GRR for an ARC of this book! It is available on 10th May 2024 💕

Oh, I am so happy!!!! Loved this just as much as books 1 & 2 and I cannot get enough of these 3.

Zodiac is on fire in this one and I am here for it!! He's divine, simply divine and I don't think I'll ever tire of reading about him. Adam is growing in my head too. I don't really know how to explain it other than to say the more I read him the more I see him?! It makes sense to me anyway haha

Still want to see more of the lovely Victor (the Bella-an-Edward line by Tom was just hilarious!!) and, as much of a slut as I am, he needs to f*ck someone soon (please!!!)

Roll on book 4 😊
