Jessica | 1 comments I'm new to Goodreads. I have been saving The Smokey God: Or; A Voyage to the Inner World and now is the perfect time to read it.

I’ve finished the book (no review posted to the group yet, I rarely write reviews because they always take so much of my time). It was a brilliant suggestion! As good as Dawn Wind - I rated it 5-stars.

I had forgotten how beautiful her writing is. So vivid that I felt I was really there. And a perfect companion to my virtual Scotland trek! The book’s setting was close to the route of the trek. Between reading Sutcliff’s descriptions and seeing the views of the trek on the app, it was so easy to visualize the scenes in the story!

That’s a great idea! I have checked it out from Hoopla!

About reviews - I never write them in the general part of GR because they take time and I don't feel the whole world needs to know my opinion. I usually just post them to PBT. At first I hesitated because it still seemed like a lot of work, but I was assured that a few sentences would be enough. So my reviews are almost always short.

Thank you Doughgirl! Those are great suggestions, and I’ve put all of them on my tbr list, although it might take me longer than a month to get to them all. But I definitely plan to, in the near future while I’m doing the virtual trek.

I’ve been to Scotland too, but only once and only to the islands. I haven’t been to the mainland yet, and I sure would love to go in real life. Especially after seeing how beautiful it is on the virtual trek!

Thank you, that is really helpful! I do have both Amazon Prime and Audible, but I didn’t know how to do all that.

Yes, I agree. I can never manage to keep a review short. Once I get started, there is always so much I want to say about every book!
