Hello Everyone! I currently have openings in my schedule for new projects! I am a very enthusiastic reader who has a passion for literature and editing. I have experience in being a writing tutor throughout my under graduate career as well as have accomplished a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Writing - public writing and rhetoric and History (so a lot of writing!) In addition, I have a Master's Degree in library information science specialized in information management and data science. But my true passion is in talking about writing and helping writer's to find their voice to create a work that they showcases their vision and talents.
I can help writer's with specific feedback in grammar, sentence structure/flow, and character/story descriptors as well as general feedback on plot, character development, and overall story development. I have experience editing in all genres, but am often reading fantasy, romance, mystery, thriller, historical fiction, sci-fi, and many others. My feedback style is generally in comments within a document so that I can be specific with questions and suggestions that encourage the development of details or story development as well as pin point sentence level suggestions to provide clarity for your readers. In addition, I think it's really important to acknowledge what writer's do well as well as providing feedback and suggestions when editing and beta reading. My fee is $1 per 1,000 words and I generally have about a 1 week turn around time, If I need more time I will actively communicate with you. I am available for discussion throughout my time beta-reading and a few days following as I believe discussion and communication is the best way to develop ideas! If this sounds helpful - leave a comment, send me a message via Goodreads or email me jneumie4@gmail.com Feel free to send me a chapter or two as a trial to see if my feedback style will be a good fit for you and your writing process. Thank you in advance for trusting me with your work and sharing in your passion of writing and storytelling.
