The story is about a widowed potter who used to work with his daughter (who stayed with him) and delivered the pottery to a factory where his son in law was working as a labour. Owing to arrival of cheap and durable pottery the factory refused to take his items .He was also unable to sell his cup and saucer to individual families due to the same plea that cheap items are available in the market.
