Lights Out by Elise Hart Kipness [Trim] - 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4)

A disgraced sports reporter struggles to get her reputation back in the midst of a new scandal in town involving her best friend and the murder of the friend's husband. That the victim is a sports star himself throws Kate into situations involving her former inner circle that call loyalties into question, and casts doubt even in Kate's mind.

This was a fun and sometimes tense murder mystery that dangled many threads to pull on throughout the story, some of which remained unresolved at the end and points to the probability of additional books.

This is one of those times that I wish this platform offered half rating options because, while this was a better than average read for me, I also had periods of days separating reading time so it wasn't fully drawing me back to it. I would read another by this author but I'm not necessarily seeking it out.
