Bec | 1342 comments Just finished Past Tents: A Small Town Romance. Do you think I can count it for a book about a protoganist with a career in the arts? Ally is an art teacher. It's a romance, but there is a bit about her job in they are organising the year book with layouts etc.

Otherwise it fits under red, blue and yellow (light yellow and blue)

Jen K | 572 comments Oh my goodness, we have finished so many since I last checked! I finally finished 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World last night but unfortunately it no longer fits any open prompts. I guess I will start a second round.

Alternatively, if we move Bec's Opal to Southern Hemisphere and Ira's Storm Watcher to weather event, then this one could be used for containing a map? I will leave that option to the team leads and team. Sorry to be so complicated!

message 54: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments Also I will start a Book about Books tonight and my weekend starts tomorrow so I should get it done in the next couple of days.

I'm happy to move them around. Sounds like a good way to make things fit in.

I'd count it!

I've moved Opal, Storm Watcher and 10 Minutes around for you.

Great thanks! I'll add it in.

message 59: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 559 comments I just finished Liar Liar and added it as a book with all 3 primary colours. We are doing great team! I am working hard on my 800+ page book which I hope to finish by Sunday, and also The Pioneers - A Story of the Australian Outback which works for a book published at least 50 years ago, which I will definitely finish in the next day or so

message 60: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I finished Floating Hotel for sci-fi.

Thanks Ellie!

We are so close to finishing so many subjects. I should finish both my books today.

message 62: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments Finished Everything I Know About Love and used it for EGOT.

message 63: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments I’m chipping away at my kindle book and audio book. Don’t think they fit in any of the open categories though.

message 64: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments Finished The Dead Romantics for a book about books and the Literature subject. I may just be reading for pencils from here.

message 65: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 559 comments I finished The Pioneers - A Story of the Australian Outback for a book published more than 50 years ago in the History section. I am still struggling with Daniel Deronda - more than 500 pages - am not sure that I'll get it finished in tme but will do my best!
Wishing everyone a great weekend of reading!

message 66: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments I needed a new audiobook so I’ve started one that fits for STEM.

message 67: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 559 comments I am also starting a new audiobook, for a book featuring a real historical figure

message 68: by JessicaMHR (new)

JessicaMHR | 313 comments Ok, so I didn't really get on here yesterday but, I was still reading. And I just now finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two for the play prompt. I have one for set during a war that I'm gonna jump to next.

message 69: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I just finished Over My Dead Body for STEM (sorry Bec, I should have said I was nearly done with it last night).

I moved a couple of books around on recess, so we now have A grades in 4 subjects.

message 70: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments Ah no problems. I was trying to choose one that would fill a prompt but it’s tricky when we get near the end and I couldn’t tell who was reading what on my phone.

Is there anything we still need?

message 71: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments As far as I can tell we have books in progress for all the remaining prompts but I'm out of the house and on my phone too.

message 72: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments I’ve finished my audiobook today. Haven’t listened to a whole audiobook in a day in ages!!

message 73: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I'm starting Divine Rivals which will work for war, but I don't know if I'll finish it this weekend. I think we'll struggle to get all the pencils anyway, but at least we have good grades!

message 74: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments Listened to a ton of my audio today but back in the office tomorrow. We are doing really great!

message 75: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments See how exciting my Saturday was....8.25 hours of audiobook and 108 pages read.

message 76: by Fee (new)

Fee | 233 comments I finally finished another The Fox Wife. I still have a lot of pages left in my last book. One day left to read. ☺️

message 77: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 559 comments A massive final day of reading for me, and finished both my very long book and my audiobook. We have now completed all categories except for one - great effort Team Tigers!

message 78: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I'm about halfway through a book set during war, and it's 4pm here, so I might just tick that off before bed.

message 79: by JessicaMHR (last edited Sep 22, 2024 10:49AM) (new)

JessicaMHR | 313 comments Well it's the last day! Kinda wish we had one more day.

I have a couple things I have to do but, other than that I am going to try and just add a bunch of pages from some small graphic novels I have. I'm aiming to make up the pencils we need.

I also am working on a book set during war but it can also go elsewhere if Ellie gets to it first.

message 80: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments Finished my audio book. It wasn't set during war but at least a bit more effort towards the pencils.

message 81: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I've finished Divine Rivals for war. We're just one pencil shy from completion now.

message 82: by Ira (new)

Ira | 361 comments I finished reading Daisy Jones & The Six. The last couple of days have been busy, so I didn't read as much as I wanted to, but I am happy with what I've read

message 83: by JessicaMHR (new)

JessicaMHR | 313 comments I know we are basically done but, I did notice there are some completed books on the plans page that aren't listed on any of the prompts. Was just curious as to whether they were actually completed.

We are doing awesome!

I still have more reading to do today (it's only noon here) and will hopefully get that last pencil for us and maybe a couple more prompts, we'll see.

message 84: by Bec (new)

Bec | 1342 comments I completed a few that couldn’t be listed in any of the prompts Jessica as the prompts they fit had already been filled.

Monday morning here so I’ve just added in yesterday’s pages. I was a bit sick of reading yesterday after having a week off work and reading a lot.

Thanks for the readathon!

message 85: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 559 comments I have updated the spreadsheet, adding Bec's books to the Completed sheet and allocating to the second round. I have also changed the colour to show which prompts are available for the second round for those of you madly finishing off! (I didn't change colour for the planning sheet - probably not necessary at this late stage). I read 8 books during the week - a record for me!

message 86: by Fee (new)

Fee | 233 comments I had a headache all day long yesterday and couldn’t read at all. But apart from this last day had a very good reading week and enjoyed the readathon with you.

message 87: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments Bec wrote: "I was a bit sick of reading yesterday after having a week off work and reading a lot...."

That's always the way with readathons. All the progress gets undone when I barely pick up a book the week after!

message 88: by Jen K (new)

Jen K | 572 comments I fell asleep early before I managed many pages. I had work and then an after work event so it was busier than expected. We did great and I enjoyed reading with you all for the readathon!
