ETA: Are you the one that asked me to join over there? I swear I added you to the group but I do not see you.
I am. I will try again now. Goodreads was being problematic for me when I tried to join.
Ok…I sent another request to join and it looks like it took this time.

My IRL Book Club is called Feminerdy and we take a deep dive into SFF from a feminist, diversity, and gender identity POV. We will be reading the 3rd and last in M. A. Carrick's Rook & Rose series in November/December to discuss in January, for example.
I'll take a look at Ninth Rain - but alas I will likely not be able to start it any time soon for a host of reasons, not least of which is work! But it could work for me in January.
I'm also well known for being the caboose in buddy reads, and not because I'm a slow reader!

I just need to sort out timing. I got over excited with a new month and new tag and took out a few library books that I need to make sure I read before they expire. Have you already started?
Sorry I missed this earlier, I'm traveling for work. Rereading your original message I can also do next month though I will be on vacation and less on my computer the first 11 days of October. Just let me know what timing you are thinking would be best.
I am so sorry I missed both your messages and did not see them until now.
I started reading the prologue and loved it but that is as far as I got. Should we look at the middle to end of October Jen?

That would be perfect if that works for you!! Looking forward to it and happy to discuss in either GR group!
Yes! Let’s go for October. 🎃👻💀
First book in a series
Any month is good for me
Synopsis:
The great city of Ebora once glittered with gold. Now its streets are stalked by wolves. Tormalin the Oathless has no taste for sitting around waiting to die while the realm of his storied ancestors falls to pieces - talk about a guilt trip. Better to be amongst the living, where there are taverns full of women and wine.
When eccentric explorer, Lady Vincenza 'Vintage' de Grazon, offers him employment, he sees an easy way out. Even when they are joined by a fugitive witch with a tendency to set things on fire, the prospect of facing down monsters and retrieving ancient artefacts is preferable to the abomination he left behind.
But not everyone is willing to let the Eboran empire collapse, and the adventurers are quickly drawn into a tangled conspiracy of magic and war. For the Jure'lia are coming, and the Ninth Rain must fall...
