Twisty is a clown with a mental disability. He worked with Rusty Westchester's Traveling Circus. The carnival freaks, jealous of his popularity, spread a false rumor that he was molesting children. He lost his job and could no longer find work as a clown. He returned to his hometown to find his mother had died. Desperate and angry, he attempted suicide. He survived but his lower jaw had been blown off in the attempt. He began wearing a wide-grin prosthetic mask over his missing jaw. He also decided to make the children love him again by keeping them safe from their mean parents. They made them do chores and denied them candy.
He also thought the carnival freaks that cost him his job were "stealing" the children so he had to protect them from them as well. So he started wearing his clown suit and carried a sack that held his juggling pins. He became a bloodthirsty kidnapper and serial killer but he didn't realize that his actions were wrong.

If we were still playing competitively, I would give you bonus points for thinking creatively. Nobody has ever used a magic fire spell for a weapon on the cover task in any of my challenges before. Nice out of the box thinking!

Thanks—it definitely worked in that context and even though we’re not playing competitively, I’m competitive and wanted those high page points (and the book was high on my tbr).
Donna, I'm just going to ask, because I have looked and looked (and I have found some things, but not things I'm excited about). Any chance I can read 2 books, both of which have JUGGLIN to make my JUGGLING?

I just looked at that again today, and I had resigned myself to trying Losing my Rejection, but I do not want to spend $4.99 and I can't get it at my library.I think I am going to read Juggling Truths because it is in my university library. This one just didn't work at all for me, but sometimes I am surprised, and I can always use my African literature?

The Violator is the demonic (& true) form of the Clown. His current disguise is that of the Clown, a 5'6 overweight, balding man with menacing face paint. He is the Spawn's mentor and one of the Phlebiac Brothers. He is a very powerful force with superhuman strength the equivalent of 15 strong men. He can breathe fire, shapeshift, possess others, and survive multiple types of attacks except for decapitation from an angel or hellspawn. He views humanity as weak and thinks that demons should lead the armies of Hell, not Spawn. He is determined to prove his superiority to his master. Since he can't kill them without an order, he weakens them by causing them to waste their powers. He has died many times and been reanimated by his master. After the death of the Spawn, Clown started to build his own army to bring down the kingdom of Heaven. He kills anyone who is aware of the Spawn's demise. He isn't "Clowning Around".

Jojo is the 18 foot tall leader of the killer klowns with yellow eyes and purple hair. All the other killer klowns show formal respect to him.
The Klowns look like circus clowns but they are murderous aliens. Their names are Jumbo, Fatso, Shorty, Rudy, Spike, Slim, Bibbo, Chubby, Frank, Joe, Slam, Mojo, Bippo, Bash, Killbo, Danny, Crinkles, Magori, Storefront, Talls, Rosebud and Daisy. They invade a small town to capture, kill and harvest humans. The Klowns shoot humans with popcorn from bazooka-like weapons. Humans that are captured are encased in pink cotton candy like cocoons using ray gun weapons. Then the Klowns drink human blood while they are in the cocoons.
There are so many Klowns so each team will be assigned a Klown to catch & cage.
First, you will need a cage: Read a book with all the letters of CAGE in the title
then
Spell out the Klown's name

I would totally BR Dark Space with you, Lisa. I read a while ago, and I'm just not an alien fan so that would be a good way for me to get through that part of the chain.

It's my go to alien book. I've read all three in the series, but the first is for sure my favorite. We should for sure BR that. I'd be willing to wait until we see if it works for April Quills too.
I've got a busy next 4 weekends so my reading will be limited at times.

I'm happy to wait on Dark Space. That series and Everina's Winter's Orbit are my go-tos (and the YA Brightness books, but I just read those, and both those duologies are LONG).
Oh... I didn't know that about DAISY. All of mine are this week. If no-one else picks up the Y, I have a fairly short drarry fic I can pick up after we get through the countries (unless a Y pops up in one of those).
I'm half done with Magpie Lord and then I'll read Dr. No and The Deep (super short)

Captain Spaulding earned the nickname "Cutter" for stabbing a man to death. He is the patriarch of the Firefly family but keeps this secret so he can send victims to his family. He runs a gas station in Texas. His biggest sales are his fried chicken and his roadside haunted house attraction known as "Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen". The museum has many strange exhibits and oddities including the famous Murder Ride. A few incidents happened here at Captain Spaulding's. An attempted robbery occurred at the location but both robbers were killed in the act. Two young couples disappeared after a visit to the museum as well.

Art is a demonic killer clown who is mute and mimes. He only appears on Halloween nights to wreak havoc and torture. He appears in all black & white carrying a black trash bag with various crude weapons. His face is painted pale white, while his eyes, mouth, and eyebrows are painted black. He wears a white bald cap on his head, complete with a small black hat strapped to the top.
Art is extremely dangerous. He slaughters nearly everyone he encounters. He has supernatural abilities and can induce paralyzing fear in his victims. He will chase, stalk, and terrorize his victims. Then he decides whether to sadistically mutilate them or spare their lives, leaving them with the trauma he has inflicted on them. He never speaks but he will mime screams of pain when injured. Art is very theatrical while killing in a very animated and comedic manner. He silently laughs during his sadistic pursuits. When cornered, he does exhibit cowardly tendencies. He will cheat or shoot himself rather than deal with the police. His arrogance does tend to crumble when the odds shift and victims fight back.
