A wonderful love story. Happened upon this book by chance and am so glad I did! It has a gentle pace that fits the countryside the story is set in. Even though it is an easy read, there are intersting challenges raised. How much do we sacrifice to conform to what is expected? What are we willing to challange those expections for? Even if we perceive ourselves as part of a multi-cultural, accepting and welcoming community,are we really? Do we still hold prejudices that influence our actions? 3.5* Major Pettigrew's Last Stand
