The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Between life and death there is a library.

When Nora Seed finds herself in the Midnight Library, she has a chance to make things right. Up until now, her life has been full of misery and regret. She feels she has let everyone down, including herself. But things are about to change.

The books in the Midnight Library enable Nora to live as if she had done things differently. With the help of an old friend, she can now undo every one of her regrets as she tries to work out her perfect life. But things aren't always what she imagined they'd be, and soon her choices place the library and herself in extreme danger.

Before time runs out, she must answer the ultimate question: what is the best way to live?

Cujo James | 2 comments Oh good! I actually started this audio book a week or so ago and got about half way through before a Libby book became available. This will give me incentive to come back and finish it :)

message 12: by Panda (new)

Panda | 14 comments I read this book last year and very much enjoyed it.

I do enjoy books about books and found the midnight library to have a creative twist. Very much an adult story with some childlike magical realism.

🎀Ruby🎀 | 8 comments This book definitely had me contemplating my life and how even the most minuscule of decisions have impacted where I am today. It was a thought-provoking experience that
depicted all the different lives one can live based on one’s choices.

message 16: by Julia (new)

Julia (meijja) | 1 comments This book was fun to read! To be honest though, I expected a lot more from it since it was so highly praised, but the ending and overall message fell flat for me... it had the right idea though

message 17: by Ali (new)

Ali Smith It started off a little slow for me but overall I enjoyed the read. It hits you a little harder if you have depression FYI.
