Duration: October 1 - October 31, 2024

For October's theme of Orange, this open challenge invites you to read books with orange covers, orange shades in their titles, or by authors with orange names. Some orange words are shown below, but you are not limited to these particular shades. Orange you glad it's October?

Examples:
The Martian by Andy Weir James by Percival Everett Tangerine by Christine Mangan Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange The Way I Used to Be (The Way I Used to Be, #1) by Amber Smith

To join, post a message telling the challenge leader how many books you plan to read. If you are new to our group and/or our group challenges, you can learn more about how they work in this thread.

Many thanks to Lisa for suggesting this challenge, and to Anshika for offering to lead it.

The book cover must have orange as the main color, or atleast 50% color should be orange.
Remarkably bright creatures can be counted for it.

Thank you for the suggestion! I saw that one, but on my phone it looked red. It does have more of an orange tone on my computer.

The Inferno (Signet Classics) Mass Market Paperback 2009 Reprint Ed. Dante Alighieri, John Ciardi, Archibald T. MacAllister, Edward M. Cifelli by aa

This edition's cover uses shades of orange: about 50% of the cover is a rust spiral and marigold words, with the remaining being a red spiral and white words.
