Hi, all! I'm a new-ish author who is looking to get her books out there. I'm the author of The Siren Tragedies, a series of books following a Siren, Telese, who is determined to save her sisters, nieces, and all of humanity by taking on one of the most powerful beings in existence: her own father, Alexandros, whose cruelty and violence she's suffered for billions of years.
I absolutely love writing these books, because I can really explore themes that are extremely important to me. In them, I delve into the idea of diplomacy and what it really costs. I also explore the struggle between the powerful and the exploited, and how many brilliant and strong people can be manipulated and held down by one person. And of course, I love writing a series where I can highlight strong women who rise up against the cruelty of an unjust system.
I, myself, am currently trying to get back into school where I can finish my degree in anthropology (I was an international relations/anthropology major at first) and work on educating people of the importance of diversity in culture and people. I currently live in Washington, D.C. with my two cats, Balthazar (half Bengal, all demon) and Gizmo (tri-pawed orange cat who shares the communal orange cat braincell). I love books based on cultures that I've not been exposed often, such as Tomi Adeyemi's Legacy of Orïsha series and anything by Khaled Hosseini. Hoping to connect with like-minded readers and authors here!
