Read in the 70s, two kids maybe brother and sister go to woods and find the outline of building. dig into it and find fancy futuristic equipment that has been lost. They may have ESP at this point or using the equipment, the entire community evolves and their ESP powers become so good that they can go from place to place. probably a bit of a warning of what happens when technology gets too much.
