i js finished chapter 1 and its super intriguing! like there r so many unsaid things

Yess I read up to 5 and I think I know who the love interest is but tbr I think it could be either of the Yew brothers at this point lol 😭idkk but I’m so interested to see how all of the characters like matter like I wanna know how alyc is gonna become a bigger part of the story if he does at all.
Also would you want to read to ch 10 this weekend/week

Idk if there is or not tbh there are so many characters 😭 I just know the like princes cousin and his brother and then like the one dude she knew when she was 17. But idk which is the love interest loll

like its feels like sometimes she is trying hard to be all like 'bad girl - doesnt like ravyn- jude vibes' but then i js read the part where they try and steal the iron card and she is kinda clueless !
yeahh im not sure why but it seems to be going downhill for me like the romance subplot (there wasnt even any tension) cause they felll for each other from the start what do u think???
YESS I was feeling the same about the chemistry between her and ravyn. And idrk how I feel about her I don’t love her character rn but I don’t like hate her either but she’s def a little annoying loll

This was such an anticipated read for me but I’m not really invested into the story or the characters rn it’s just like ok so far for me
I also got to part 3 so I think like chapter 27ish today

omg same the magic system is so complicated and yk how in fantasy books each character has like a secret reason for going on the quest or whtvr in this book they r all the same and usually characters in fantasies are morally grey or do questionable things but here they r all goody-two shoes
also i finished the book yesterday cause i wanted to get it over and done with

The characters feel so like surface level like idk anything ab them other than they are infected and are trying to find cards like give me something to work with pls
also the writint like adjectives r rlly repetitive

Omg I finally finished it. Felt like the longest it’s taken me to read a book in so long 😭 I will not be reading the next one. This book was high stakes but i genuinely could not care less about what happened to any of the characters they were all so surface level. And like there was no tension about it being high stakes so I just didn’t care if that makes sense. And the Mc lowkey annoyed me so bad. Like why was the nightmare/sheppard king the only character I liked lol. I also didn’t like the romance it felt so random and like just plopped into the story idk
