Beth | 2 comments Im looking for recommendations on mystery books that have no gore, cussing, paranormal, or sex of any kind. A series Ive recently read is the Countless of Harleigh Mysteries. Im looking for something that keeps you guessing until the end with some action. Thanks!

Iona Whishaw my review of book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Louise Penny my review of book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... There are occasional French Canadian cuss words in her books.
R J Harlick My review of book 1 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... All above are Canadian authors.
Finally Alexander McCall Smith My review of book 15 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Book 13 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I didn't start writing reviews until I joined GR

Christine Mathieu | 583 comments Mary Higgins Clark wrote over 50 crime novels without sex. Start with her debut novel from 1975 "Where are the Children?" and then read "Stillwatch". IMHO those two are her best.

Patty | 4449 comments Josephine Tey wrote some excellent mysteries. The Franchise Affair is a favorite of mine.
