ya true

message 52: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I just think that the Fee and Pippa thing was disgusting and totally stupid and pointless. It made me totally hate Felicity and think she was an idiot. There was just no point to that. Pippa was always so obsessed with boys and love and stuff. I think it was more of a spur of the moment thing for Libba Bray that she thought would be awesome, which just turned out weird and gross.

Um, Lindsay, personally I have nothing against homosexuals. But, come on, remember in AGATB when she knew so much about sex, and the lesbian poets? It was most definitely obvious. Pippa could've just been using boys because it was socially acceptable and was really thinking about girls. She could've also, like Lisa said, just been confused.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

wait i dont remember that! when did all of this happen? like all the lesbian poets and sex stuff

message 55: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Remember when they were laughing about it?

message 56: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay If Pippa loved Fee so much, then why would she have wished for the prince? She would've chosen to stay with Fee instead of going off with prince if she was in love with her in the first book.

message 57: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Because I don't think she was in love with Fee in the first book. I think their relationship started in TSFT.

message 58: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay But you just said that in AGATB they were... a nevermind. I personally just think the relationship was really stupid. In fact, as of now, I am constructing an essay about anti-homosexualness! :D

message 59: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
They were talking about lesbians.

Do you go to a catholic school? Because if so you're probably going to get a good grade. I think it's stupid. Gay people are people. Just like you and me. Deal. With. It.

message 60: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I know. I have nothing against the person themself! In fact, a gay/lesbian person might be the nicest person in the world!! I just don't agree with what they do. You know? And I'm not Catholic, and nor do I go to a Catholic school. I'm LDS. Anyway, my teacher doesn't like Barack Obama anyway and is a republican, so I felt pretty safe.

message 61: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
It's not something they do. You can't help who you love. Can you help being attracted to guys? Well, they can't help who they are. Neither can you.

message 62: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay People aren't born gay or lesbian. That is a common misconseption. 70% of people are attracted to someone of the same gender in their lives. It's not because they're gay; it's because it's something natural that happens to most people. People mistake that for them being born gay/les, and then end up in a strange spot...

message 63: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Yeah, some people do like someone of the same gender, but doesn't mean they're mistaking themselves for being gay.

So you're saying no one is born hetrosexual then? Who you are attracted to and fall in love with is a choice then, hmm?

message 64: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No one is born homosexual. In case you haven't noticed, there seem to be a lot more "homosexual" people in this day then there were in the past. Do you think that people randomly started being born gay? No, they haven't. Since being gay/les is becoming way more accepted, more people start to confuse themselves for being gay.

message 65: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
No, there are not randomly more people who are homosexual. There are more people coming out about it. It's becoming accepted because you change who people are. You can't choose who you are attracted to and who you fall in love with. You have no choice in that.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

thats wat i think it doesn't matter that much weather they r gay or lebian or not really since they didn't always like each other

message 67: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I already said people aren't born homosexual!! It's their choice to be homo or not! It's not like they can't help loving a guy. If you think someone of the same gender is pretty or something, it doesn't mean you're gay!! All you have to do is ignore that!! There's this person I know who once thought he was gay and is now married and has kids. He said that the 'love' he felt for guys was totally fake and completely unreal compared to the love he feels for his wife. That's because people of the same sex can't feelthe same for each other as people of the opposite gender can!!

message 68: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Now, let me just ask you one question:

Who the hell would pick a life where their constantly being insulted and harassed? No one would pick that.

message 69: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I don't know. An idiot? Then why are people gay?

message 70: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
No. One.

People do not choose to be gay. And that's why.

message 71: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Yes. They. Do. And besides, don't you know that the gays are harrassing the poor people in California just because they voted for Proposition 8? Now who's being cruel?

message 72: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
JUST because they voted for Proposition 8? That's taking away their right to MARRY. That's not worthy of a JUST. If their harassing them, then that's wrong, but they have the right to be angry. What if someone took your right away to marry? I just don't understand the hate.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

people are only getting harrassed by people who are very rude and preposition 8 shoulden't of even been made a law cuz it should be whatever anyone wants if they want to be gay go ahead if they dont thats fine 2.

*small voice* i kinda agree. But, and i don't know if either of u mentioned this, i don't think you can help who you love.

*rubs forhead* Bleg... I really shouldn't get into this. But... I'm just gonna put my two cents in. Being gay isn't normal in my opinion. Humans are meant to, well, reproduce. It's how we survive. If you put a bunch of people of the same gender on an island, they would die out, end of story. Whether they were gay or not. Now, like lindsay said, I have NOTHING against gay people themselves! Ellen is like my favorite talk show person and she's very publicly a lesbian. Does that make me say ew, that's gross? no. I respect how she feels, it's what she is, like how i'm a republican, some people are democrats, or anything else that makes us so wonderfully different in this world. I'm probably not making much sense, becuase tho i don't think you choose who you love, i do think you choose to be gay. Which really doesn't make sense. But in the end, there's somehting about a marriage about a man and a woman, something right, that just isn't there for two men or two women. But that's just me, and I'm probably too biased to really debate this, but, i'll say it again, i have nothing against gay people. I just... bleg, i can't explain it. But i hate it when people say that i'm discriminating because my family voted yes on prop 8, and i agree. there was a phase when my friends didn't talk to me and my other friend that much cuz we were the only republicans, and our families voted yes, and that was awful.
But yeahz...tho that made no sense to anyone but me, that's what i think on this debate. plz don't bite my head off. *hides in the corner*

message 76: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Well, I respect everyone's opinion, but frankly, I don't think you have a choice about who you are attracted to.

message 77: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Whatever. Anyway, my church leaders told us that marriage between a man and a man was wrong, and that marriage was to only between a man and a woman. Marriage is a sacred ordinance between a MAN and a WOMAN!! In case you forgot, it was Adamn and EVE not Adam and Steve.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

o ya i also agree with allie

message 79: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
I'm not going to change your opinion, I'm aware of this. But I don't think you can choose who you love, bottom line.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

yep totally agree with Emma

ur attracted to who ever u r attracted to

message 81: by Allie, A hopeless romantic who doesn't believe in love (new)

Allie (pearlrose95) | 3724 comments Mod
*giggles* AdamandEve, not AdameandSteve...hahahahahahahhahahahaha

um. sry. ruining the tenseness here. but me thinks that ish funny.

sigh. i do think that a marriage is sacred. and tho i don't think u chose who u r attracted 2, u can choose to b gay or not, tho that only much sense in my twisted mind logic. but i don't hv a problem with gay people, and therefore no problem with fee and pip. end of story.

message 82: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay It was my Bishop who said that line, and I thought it was funny. :D I don't think you can choose who you are attracted to either, but you can choose to ignore those strange attractions. Anyway................ I get to eat jell-o tonight!!

message 83: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay You can. Attraction isn't the same as love, anyways. I don't hate gays or anything, I just want to protect traditional marriage.

message 84: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
And why exactly? So many people are divorcing, and I think it's great if people are willing to give a chance on love. Who cares if they're the same sex?

message 85: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Hm... I wonder... ME!!! And thousands of other people which is why Prop. 8 in California PASSED in case you didn't know. Oh dear, and now I've got everyone in the group to hate me just because I'm sensible... *sigh* And besides, what's the point of loving if it's just people of the same sex? Man and woman are supposed to reproduce! Kinda impossible if you're a guy and a guy.

message 86: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Or a girl and a girl. 1. No one in this group hates you. I just strongly dissagree with you. 2. You're not being sensible. Not ALL of us are gay, there's still plenty of us here to reproduce.

message 87: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Oh, I know. But sadly for them, only a man and a woman can be sealed for all time and eternity... Did you know that God said that only a man and a woman should love each other, that gay relationships are wrong?

message 88: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay And please don't hate me, I'm just a tired little girl with a big family that I love and I'm just really good a Guitar Hero and get good grades. And I like to swim the stroke butterfly in the swim team. So please don't hate me.

I don't hate you. I have plenty of friends who are anti gay-rights. I just disagree with you. I don't believe that the bible is 100 percent true. The bible says a lot of things.

message 90: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I'm not just talking about the Bible. The Bible does have some mistranslations, but the if you get the correct translation, it is 100% true. I have a question for you. Do you only believe what's convenient to you? Do you disregard some scripture, say it's false or something, just because you don't feel like accomadating to it? Just wondering... because a lot of churches don't believe James is true because they don't feel like doing what he counsels us to do.

message 91: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay I can't come up with a good conlcusion statement!! D: I'm so hungry. I wonder when Courtney's gonna get home from track because I feel like talking to her... my real-life friend Courtney, not the butterfly Courtney.

message 92: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 5135 comments Mod
Frankly, I'm an agnostic, but the bible also says you beat your wife and sell your daughter into slavery. There is no absolutely correct translation. The story of Lillith was in the bible before too. Things get taken out and added. The only actual true one would be the original one.

message 93: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess I do have a different religion from you, so if I mentioned the JST you'd probably think I was crazy, so I won't talk about the JST!!
