I read this book so long ago and I don’t remember much but I think it was about a girl who was being targeted by a serial killer or she was actively looking for clues, and when she comes face to face with him, he tries to kill her as well. In the book, it turned out that he was recreating either famous hollywood deaths or deaths from famous movies.
