Yes remember there is not time line on this one ladies! This is just a general buddy read... not a monthly

Yes, I love the Lunar Chronicles. Cress is my favorite book of the bunch :) And no problem, just don't forget to post your thoughts!

oh..........thanks
oh..........thanks

So... I love Chaol. I mean, I have a serious crush on him. Dorian seems a bit boring, but Chaol has a real personality. He's dark, but has a sense of humor, and I think we can all tell he has a growing crush on Celaena whether he wants to or not. One thing I'm really hoping will NOT happen is a love triangle: I don't need to be all wrung up over Dorian and Chaol, because it would be so much nicer just to have some tension between Chaol and Celaena, and then have them run off together!
As to the plot: it seems to be too much like The Hunger Games (with a dash of Divergent here and there). I mean, Celaena is looking for alliances, there are tests and rankings, and then the four best assassins will be put together to kill each other? I'm guessing that will happen in some kind of arena, too. Does it seem like this to you?
Anyways, I'm looking forward to some exciting plot twists and whatnot, and I really love the characters so far (although Lady Kaitlin... Come on. She's so cliché). Where are you in the book, and what are you thinking?

For the most part, I like the plot. It really kept me curious and engaged. I never really thought about the Hunger Games thing. I guess you're right, although I think Throne of Glass is pretty unique as a whole.
I really enjoyed it. I gave it 3.5 stars--there were a few problems with the story that just kept bugging me--but I thought it was a strong fantasy novel. I agree, the characters are awesome! And Lady Kaltain isn't so cliché as you might think.... :)
Let me know what you think at the end! I thought it was pretty epic, myself.

I can't tell if Chaol is actually falling in love with Celaena, or if he's just being nice and father-ish. The ring seems to indicate love, but then he seems so OK with Dorian not being able to hide his emotions while Celaena's training. She, however, is just infatuated with Dorian, which is so stupid! Chaol is the one who trains her, the one who looks after her, the one who sees her vomit day after day and says nothing about it, the one who gives her a ring as a token of friendship, the one who makes jokes with her, the one who KNOWS her. Dorian is honestly just in love with her looks, and her talent at playing music. Does he ever really share a moment with her?
Also, the twist is freaking awesome. I am loving the plot so far, it's just really coming together. The deaths are awesomely gruesome, and they really add some tension. I'll be done soon! Then we can talk at great length with no fear of spoilers. :)

This is totally me right now:

I agree. As their relationship progressed I was just rolling my eyes, like "Ew. What are you doing?" Yeah, he is sweet, but it just didn't work for me.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole love triangle set-up was just some evil ploy and in the end she doesn't end up with either of them. That would be kind of cool, actually, but terrible at the same time because CHAOL.
Anyway. Enough mushy stuff. What did you think of Nehemia? She's one of my favorite characters of the book.
