What's the best reading challenge you've ever completed? Tell us about your favorite bookish adventures!

Squire (srboone) | 82 comments The most satifying was a doorstop challenge where I read Don Quixote (1&2), War&Peace, Les Miserable, and The Count of Monte Cristo on the same year. I tried for 5 doorstops, but only made it to four--so technically I never completed it.

Squire (srboone) | 82 comments I finally read HP this year, thanks to the pleadings of my nieces and nephews. They used to occupy space on my "Not With a 39-and-a-half Foot Pole" GR shelf. My favorite is Goblet, least favorite is Order. Haven't read Cursed Child yet.

Devon (dgivi13) | 187 comments Funny thing is, Goblet of Fire used to be my least favorite MOVIE of the series. But after reading the book, i have a new found appreciation to that film over some of the others. Although the films follow the books very well, i was pleasantly surprised, and cannot say for this series that the book is better than the movie or vise versa.

Squire (srboone) | 82 comments It's not easy adapting a 600-page novel into a 2 hr movie. Some things have to be sacrificed in order to maintain focus on the main plotline. My reviews of the books pretty much align with my ratings for the movies.

Theresa (mysteries.and.mayhem) (mysteriesandmayhem) | 136 comments Funny, Harry Potter used to love on my never ever gonna even Crack the book open list as well. I'm not sure what inspired me to give them a try, but I'm so glad I did. I've loved the ones I've read so far! I need to finish the series. I'm only a few books into it now.

Theresa (mysteries.and.mayhem) (mysteriesandmayhem) | 136 comments As far as reading challenges go ... I always love a good book bingo, trying to find books that fit the description in the squares is almost as fun as actually reading them!
