Required element: Bad customer service

Jack McDaniel | 280 comments Hey, Jot, this sounds a bit like your novel: https://www.amazon.com/Turn-Tide-S-M-...

Justin Sewall | 1244 comments Wow Tom! Your story stressed me out! Nicely done!

message 4: by Paula (new)

Paula | 1088 comments A real "sounds just like what happened when we had to" tech classic, Tom. And strongly paced. Give it a final polish-edit and send it off to the biggies.

Tom Olbert | 1445 comments Thank you both for those encouraging words!

Hey Jack, thanks for finding that. A time travel novel back to the Roman Empire to save the world today from destruction...does sound familiar.

message 7: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy Lichtman | 410 comments Will try to get one in this month.

Tom Olbert | 1445 comments A daring and well-envisioned slide, Jot - worthy of Evel Knievel. Thanks for the view from Olympus Mons. The humor was well-delivered, too.

Justin - a very detailed and striking vision of alternative history. And, a fun ride, in spite of the sad finish. (Ah, well...the dream in itself is what gets us out there.)

Thanks Tom.

Last day to get those stories in!

message 10: by Justin (new)

Justin Sewall | 1244 comments Thank you Tom! The Pan Am "First Moon Flights" club and of course the sequence from 2001 with the Pan Am "shuttle" were the inspiration. Oh that it were so easy and commonplace. And hey, where's my flying car already! :)

message 11: by Justin (new)

Justin Sewall | 1244 comments Jot, very funny story! As someone who is afraid of heights, it was terrifying and hilarious at the same time!

message 12: by Tom (new)

Tom Olbert | 1445 comments A very bizarre and original vision of Jekyl/Hyde splitting, J.F. The setting was well-realized too, and POV was effective. Well done.

message 13: by J.F. (new)

J.F. Williams | 371 comments Thanks, Tom! This is actually the third story I've posted about the wyrms, and turns out I spelled "Mezerich" differently each time. The other two are "Slaying the Meserech" and "We of the Meserich". You'd think I would have checked but no.

message 14: by Tom (new)

Tom Olbert | 1445 comments As Mark Twain said - "Never trust a man who knows only one way to spell a word."

Tom Olbert | 1445 comments The September theme has been posted.
