SOLVED. YA Dystopian: Future where people with powers are hunted and given to supernatural beings

I read the book recently, in 2022 but I believe it's older than that because it was the first in a series of seven(?) which is all out at this time.

Essentially there are categories of people with specific powers, and our main character has one of the rare powers. This is set in the future in England/Britain and the government is after people with these powers, and normal people think they are dangerous. The main character is a girl who works for a gang of criminals.

When the government catches the main character with powers she is sent to this place run by an inhuman/alien/supernatural race that is almost vampiric or angelic in nature. They are to act as warriors for these people and use their powers to hunt another supernatural race of monsters that has been let loose in their world and will devour everyone if left unchecked.

The main girl falls in love with one of the race of supernatural beings who then helps the humans do a revolution against their captors and escape. The first book ends with the humans escaping but the supernatural guy being left behind for some reason? Separated? In any case at the time I didn't have the time to get into a long book series but now I'm interested in reading it.

I do remember that the author had also written a book that was popular recently? I noted that but can't remember anything about it.

I actually figured this out myself and found the popular book the author had written recently.

For anyone wondering this is The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.
