Hello to all our lovely readers around the world! Welcome to our second Dewey's Readathon for 2024. We'll be officially starting at 8pm Eastern Time (EDT, aka the time zone for New York). Unofficially many of our readers start when it works best for them, and continue reading all weekend or however suits their schedule. Officially we will be hosting the readathon for 24 hours, so we'll sign off at 8pm Eastern Time. This chatroom will remain open all weekend though, and probably until I start setting up for the October readathon.
Happy reading everyone! I hope you find some new favorite books, meet a few new reading friends in our community, and have fun immersed in the pleasures of being a reader this weekend..

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments I hope all have a blast, get some good reading in, get time to relax and for some self-care, and enjoy the social media aspect of the read-a-thon .With good drinks and snacks, of course :0)

Nona | 138 comments I didn't start prepping for or even thinking about this readathon until a couple days ago, but now I'm really excited that it's about to start. I love an excuse to clear my weekend for reading!!

Yes! This is my favourite bit as well. It can be hard to hold the time for reading but this is the perfect excuse to dedicate a whole weekend too it!

Vanessa, thank you for the suggestion. I welcome suggestions. . . . If you or someone else wants to write up a bingo card and then pm me with that bingo card, I will be glad to post it. We can have one or two challenges posted. So if others have other suggestions, offer them up. We can do a bit of this and a bit of that as we continue on on our Dewey's journey together ⭐

Lamilla | 818 comments I am planning to use the bingo card I created for the previous round, here it is, if there is an interest

the squares are quite broad, easy to fulfill

Thanks Lamilla. There is an option to change bingo cards there, so not just one card for me to post to pre-readathon challenge thread.. Instead participants can choose to post their bingo card selection on their personal readathon logs here or elsewhere.
