Mystery/ Rmance? Kinda remember shadow for title maybe…plot might be staying safe from certain people they might know who it is..involves a woman as main character and male character that is trying to keep her safe... Spoilers.

A while back probably a year or two ago 2023-2024, I was reading a book. Each chapter had a title had a name of the characters in this book to show who was talking but I can’t remember them..I believe it started off with someone sitting down at a table and a restaurant or something and a person walked in that they recognized. It was like a group of people sitting down a table and talking. Was a mixed of men and woman maybe family members… Another part I remember is girl and her friends I believe are in a class and they are talking to each other then one of the girls gets distracted and blown away from how pretty the teacher or speaker is which was a female and she describes what she looks like but I can’t remember and I believe after class is over. One of the girls has to go back into a lab because they forgot something, and she runs into someone’s brother and he follow her to the lab then something happens like they see a shadow after she or he finds what she forgot in lab I believe and they have to run out of the lab. I think someone was trying to attack them. Another part I remember is the guy took her to his place to be safe and his family was there she described the kitchen in full detail as a women was making a drink she described what drinks he was making but I can’t remember that either lol…I remember some guy walked in (possibly the brother that helped her escape the lab) and had to make a phone call to make sure someone was safe..and he wanted the girl he went into lab with to stay at his place so she’s safe she said no I can drive my self home and he told her that his driver can take her home the driver comes out of some door behind the girl and she declined and said no I will take myself but he insisted that the driver would take her so she proceeded to give her address but the driver already knew her address before she told the driver her address (this probably sounds like a lot books lol! it’s just been driving me crazy that I can’t figure it out) I want to say it could of been assassins im not quite sure…but the guy that followed her to the lab or where ever she needed to go knew about the attackers or something along that line and he had called someone to come help as they were standing in the kitchen with his family and that’s about all I can remember and it was all in the very beginning of the book I believe…
