Thanks Dustin!

Well, I did enjoy it, but didn't love it. It felt like some parts just dragged, and there was an awful lot of animal cruelty. I'm going to do my review now. There is one thing confused me that maybe someone can help me with? It's a major spoiler point, however.

Alabama Vee (alabamavee) | 123 comments I really struggled with the writing style and found myself having to reread sections as I found it hard to absorb. The story I thought was pretty unique and interesting just unfortunatly the writing style was not for me.

I felt the same. (view spoiler) I thought the characters were stereotyped, and mostly uninteresting.

Wayne Minton | 3 comments I'm in the camp that felt the writing was poor. I found myself actively parsing sentences in order to understand their point, and the "flow" of the narrative ran off the rails whenever it would hit some awkward sentence construction. Very distracting. This problem compounds with the slow pacing in the beginning.

It wasn't all bad. Lewis's outcome was very entertaining! However, there are lots of other great books out there, and I'm not sure I'll be reading more by this author.
