Single dad recs that aren’t don’t involve a nanny

The single dad trope is one of my top favorites right now but I’m struggling to find good books to read that don’t involve the love interest being the nanny. It feels so overused to me. Thank you!

I recently read Wild Love by Elsie Silver, it’s about a guy that recently finds out he is a dad. The FMC (not the mother of the child) is a childhood friend that comes back to their small town after her life in the city doesn’t go as planned. She does technically work for him, but not as a nanny so idk if that’ll be a put off for you.

single dad is one of my fave trope and i agree with you most of them are single dad x nanny romance and it felt overused sometimes😞
here's some of my fave ones;

- in a jam by kate canterbary (H is raising his niece and the MCs fake married so the h can inherit her family farms)
- all rhodes lead here by mariana zapata (h is on a self-discovery journey to start over after leaving a long toxic relationship, she moved to the small town she grew up in and ended up renting a garage apartment from the H)
- the match by sarah adams (H's daughter has just been diagnosed with epilepsy & wants to find a service dog, h works in a service dog company to help people with disabilities find the perfect service dog)
- reckless by elsie silver (surprise pregnancy, h is a doctor & H is a pro bull rider)
- this could be us by kennedy ryan (both mc are single parents, H is an accountant & h works in the hospitality industry iirc)
- hook shot by kennedy ryan (H is a pro basketball player & h is a fashion designer)
- coach by devney perry (workplace romance with an ex-football star turned coach H and an assistant AD h)
