[BWF] The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston rounded up to 4 stars

This was a nice surprise--I was quite sure it would be a respectable 3 star like for me, but I have to say that even though I've read so very many books including some with similar premises to this one, it was definitely a book I'm happy to round up to 4 stars. It's not that nothing was predictable--some of it was--but I liked the characters, the voice, the writing, the pacing and other things about this. It just had that je ne sais quoi about it that put it up a notch for me. I can see how it is that Elston's latest book is selling like hotcakes--if this is how well she wrote her debut, she clearly has talent.

The blurb tells you enough--with this sort of book, knowing less is more. I plan to read the sequel and then perhaps some of her other stuff as well.
