Can't connect to KDP because of old account

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. I tried GoodReads customer service but got nowhere.
I have an old (10+ year) account on GoodReads connected to my KDP account. The email associated with the old GoodReads account no longer exists so I can't access it or change it. Customer service told me, in effect, that I cannot sever the connection between KDP and the old account without access to the old account. They couldn't cancel the old account on my behalf.
The problem is that I cannot connect my current account to KDP. The main goal of doing so would be to offer a giveaway of my book, *Rich Dick's Almanac."
Has anyone encountered this problem? How did you resolve it?
