Great book. Very informative but had the feel of a novel. I found myself so engrossed with the book that I felt like I was actually there.

I love the story of the Romanovs. I have read several books about them, mostly nonfiction. There is so much more to what happened to them than what we hear in history class. I didn't know until a couple of years ago that they had located the family's remains and buried them together in state. Their story is one of true love.
The Romanov Sisters The Lost Lives of the Daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra by Helen Rappaport might appeal to you. In other books I've read about the family, the focus is on the parents, Rasputin, or the Tsarevitch, and the four daughters sort of blend together. This one focuses on each daughter individually. This was a NYT bestseller for a long time. The author is a specialist in women's history.
