Now I don't know how you want the information. Is me telling you here enough or is there a specific place to tell you?

1. Is there a list of acceptable variations? You put some in the Celtic thread but are there others?
2. Adding to that~ Will you accept shorter versions of the PW?
Examples:
Know(s), Knowing, etc. for Knowledge
Light for Lightning
Thunder for Thunderbolt
I apologize if this was answered already and I missed it.

I am going to make a thread were you can post when you finish your power

1. I will post everything in Book Verification
2. Yes you can

I've had my team put their mini challenge books in both the main thread (so I can post it to the spreadsheet) and the mini challenge thread (so Lizz didn't have to sort through our books).
Is that how you want us to do that, Lizz?

Not like you don't have enough going on - when I go to the Lost Challenges group I can't find any links to this challenge.
Also, I sent a pm with our spreadsheet, so when you get a chance can you link it to our group (Egyptians)
Thanks!

Sandy, I was confused at first too.. if you go to the bottom of the list of discussions, right above the group members, it says "more discussions". If you hit that a longer list of things come up and the Battle of the Gods challenge will be there.

Thanks Heather

Sorry to keep bugging you - Do our extra letters (eg Egyptians are Vengeance+VEN) change after we've spelled it out? Or do we keep the same extra letters for a certain period of time?
Thx
Lizz,...Team Celtic Captain here, I have been informed that 1 of my team members(Mallory Heart) has decided to drop out of the challenge. So I guess you can take her shelf link of the list and replace her with a back up player if that's what you want to do. Also Minttu's shelf still hasn't been linked up Post # 96. I know your probably very busy so whenever you get a chance to do that it would be great :)

And if a book has werewolf in the title is that ok for shape changer?

for right now you're going to keep the same extra letters.

Lightning- Electric, Charge, Flash, Strike
Thunderbolt- Rumble, Bang, Clap, Roll
Knowledge- Wisdom, Lore, Aware, Information, Learn
Vengeance- Vendetta, Revenge, Retribution, Punish, Wrath
Shapechanger- Shifter, Skinwalker, Changeling, Were(wolf, etc.)
And of course the variations of the words.
Examples:
Know(s), Knowing, etc. for Knowledge
Light for Lightning
Thunder for Thunderbolt
Change for Shapechanger
Hope this helps!

When you get back online (sorry you are having all your troubles!) I had a thought about our extra letters for the spell out. I know our team is getting a bit tired of using the same letters over and over again, so how about we take three letters from another team's power? You could set up a rotation so the teams know what to do - eg,
I am on Team Egyptian and our power word is Vengeance. Our extra 3 letters right now are VEN. Rather than take more letters from our word, you could take three letters (or however many that team is required to take) from the next team (from the list on the Pantheon vs Pantheon thread, that would be Shapechanger) so we would take SHA for a period of time (one or two weeks) or after X number of spell outs, then we could take the next three letters from that word each rotation until it's completed then move on to the next power word. We would know the rotation and when to change based on however long you determine and then you wouldn't have to tell us what the letters would be so it would take some work off your shoulders (right now we're still waiting for our next letters.) Plus, it would change things up a bit for the teams.

I was thinking the same thing Sandra! Some teams definitely have easier letters to find!!

Ive been thinking on this too... I like the idea alot but we only got extra letters because of Shapechanger and they cant change the letters. So, I'm not sure what we can fo to make it fair. :(

Team Egyptian start out originally with Isis and Motherhood. Maybe we can do Isis, then Osiris, etc.

I thought we could use any power or God anyways so why would we need to rotate them?

"Shapechanger" has great letters. Maybe we can get a few of theirs!

Nichole wrote: "How about Storm as an alternate for Thunderbolt?"
Thunderbolt is a really weird word. Thunder doesn't come as a bolt in my mind, as lightening does, but with it. But in this case, I think I'm inclined to say no on storm as being too general.

We may have some easier letters (those two "e" are not easy btw) but bad luck with mini challenges :D
As to the extra letters changing, it looks to me from the initial rules that Lizz was looking to change them up by round. If she's not back online today, I will change up the letters tomorrow.
As far as what happens if you haven't finished spelling a word when the letters change, you would need to adjust the books you have to the new letters. Since we are only using letters from the power word itself, even if a letter is eliminated that you were hoping to use for that spelling, it can be held for another spelling as it will still be valid, just not as many times within each spelling. So you won't lose the ability to use that book, just may have to use it later.
As far as rotating powers with other groups, I'm not going to go there right now. Lizz can consider when she returns and see if it's something she wants to do within this battle or whether it is something to consider for later battles.

As coming from the team who had to read books from Iceland, I feel your pain :-)

Iceland? lmao, are there even any books that take place in Iceland? Okay, I concede, we had a waaaay easier mini-challenge.

There were amazingly. My team mates found and read some. I wasn't able to contribute to that part of the challenge :-) Hopefully I'll do better with green, though I don't have any covers that have green that I have slated for this month (except which I have already read lol), so I will have to try to rearrange.
