Not sure if this was answered before or not but If the God or Goddess is mentioned in the series name does that count for the 50 points or do they need to have a major/minor role within the story it's self to get those points?

Ex. Warriors of Poseidon Series by Alyssa Day(it's been so long since I started this series I can't remember if the god has a role in the story or not)

Another question? When a team have finished spelling out their word is there some place to post it for approval to get the points or do we just provide a link to the finished word somewhere so you can go check it out?

Also how do we go about claiming the 50 point options do we need to proved the name of the god for each book used, I'm just trying to figure out how to set things up :)

Yes I saw that, but what I'm wanting to know is if we need to proved an actual name of the god/goddess to get the points. I feel like it needs to be said what god was in the story in order to earn the points instead of just saying yes there was a god in the book, I hope this makes since it does in my head anyway...lol

They don't have to be in the story but they have to be mentioned in the book more this once.

I'm assuming that since Angels and God are considered part of the challenge theme then Lucifer would also be accepted as well?

It has come to my attention that the rule saying you can use books that you have started before the start date but finish after has been being abused. I am going to change it up a bit. I am still working on the wording so please check back tonight

I know we can use any teams gods for extra points but can we use any of the power words for extra points too? Or just our team power word which is knowledge?

I'm happy to hear it too. Its one thing to start a day before but not three weeks.

This may seem like a strange question but I was wondering. What if the author of the book has three names and two of the names would work for Knowledge? Example Diana Wynne Jones. Would two spaces in the word Knowledge be used up?

you can usually only use the book once per challenge so I would say no unless two of you are reading it.

If I understood correctly teams get 50 additional points if a book has a power word in the title. Our word is "Shapechanger" and are 13 books on Goodreads with that word in title, so how are we supposed to get those bonus points?

Lizz, im pretty sure this question has been asked but I can't find where... When I am keeping track of points, if a 200pg book is read for 30 points and its has Aphrodite in it for 50 points....that books total is 80 points. Correct?

Also, the mini challenge points are added separately, right?

Just checking to see if you've made a decision on this.
Also *hangs head* I realized I put books on my designated shelf that I wanted to read for the challenge but they aren't completed/started yet - which could be confusing - so I removed them from shelf and won't be put back on until 'officially' read. Hope that makes sense. I just was trying to see what I have avail for the challenge and forgot to take them back off.

NEW RULE
Books read before the challenge has to be start two or a day before this challenge starts. So that means books started a week before or longer wont count. I might be changing this rule for next round.

Not all books have to work for spelling out the power. You still will get page count points and anyother points it would count. I hoped that has helped

Is there gonna be a count down clock to when the challenge starts, I know that the challenge starts on the 3rd of May but in what time zone, I live in Australia and were about 19hrs ahead of America and if it's American time that would be the 4th for me, so I would really like to know. Plus then everyone can start at the same time.

Lizz there has been some speculation about the points.

Here's what's everyone is wondering.

If I read a book that's 300 pgs for 35 points and the same book has the gods theme in it for 50 points and the power word for 50 points does the book count for just the 50 points or do we get the page points as well for a total of 135 points for the entire book?

Or am I wrong in assuming that the 50 points for Theme and Power Word are like bonuses on top of the page points.

I just want to be clear so I know how to keep track of the points for my team :)
